There is a strong possibility that I will be purchasing a new, unopened 1080 ti from an Ebay auction but I'm concerned about the warranty that the card will have on it once I take ownership. I read the warranty page on the main EVGA site about second hand purchasers but the wording assumes the unit in question is used. How does this apply to a factory sealed item?

Thanks for the clarification. Would I need to get the original invoice to register the item in order to get any service for the unit?

No, you should have the eBay invoice showing you purchased it second hand, so you should be able to upload that.

Yes, the product would be considered secondhand even if it is not open, the warranty would start from the date we shipped it originally, you can email us at support@evga.com to check the date with the serial number. The invoice uploaded should be your purchase of the product.

Everything is security.
