It's probably not worth mentioning, but just in case it helps anyone.
"MCU", in this case, stands for Microcontroller Unit, not Memory Controller Unit.

Having this issue with my card. Can't update MCU because a message pops up saying 'device not supported'. This happened to me when I was updating to PX1 3.7.

Are the issues with the PX1 software fixed as of yet?  Just got my RMA version installed today and I do not want to install the PX1 if it is not fixed, last time it broke all my LED's and my middle fan ran at 100% constantly.

Version 3.9 and higher are good to go.

So no issues with 3.9 or higher, RMA returns stink so don't want to have to do that again lol

What the downloads broken like the freknn msu or whatever it is I give up with these RMA even the 24/7 so call tech can't get it to flash hustling to RMA please I was better off with with my 1080 which is just now going to get RTX support.

Hey there, having same problem as TC. Just bought a new 2080ti FTW3 as well, installed Precision X1, and pretty sure the flasher ran into the same issue. My fans are stuck at 100% nonstop currently. How would you go about trying to fix this?

Hey there, having same problem as TC. Just bought a new 2080ti FTW3 as well, installed Precision X1, and pretty sure the flasher ran into the same issue. My fans are stuck at 100% nonstop currently. How would you go about trying to fix this?

Update: Got it fixed now! Was able to find the flash tool for the MCU, everything's running smoothly!

I have the 1080Ti Hybrid FTW3 and I've been having issues with my EVGA Precision XOC ever since version (6.2.7)... I uninstalled and reinstalled it in the past and it still doesn't work properly?
I saved the profile to start with window and it does, but the second I hover the mouse cursor over the PXOC it disappears!... I have to run the software again so that it can stay running and that's every time I turn on my Rig, then when I'm gaming the OSD show's up when it feels like it, even though it's set to always show on saved profile 0 through 9.
 
I tried the PX1 at the time when it came out and I even asked, does it work with the 1080Ti Hybrid FTW3??... I was told yes it does... Nice! I go installed the PX1 and the same issue was there ...if anything, it added another problem. The PX1 doesn't have the >>> (Backplate Logo LED) option <<<  so I can't change the EVGA LED on my 1080Ti (Backplate)... It's clear that EVGA PX1 is meant for the newer GPU's which have no (LED Logo on the Backplate)... So I went back to the same EVGA Precision XOC version (6.2.7) at least my all my LED's work

I always had the software set right since the first of EVGA Precision Versions until it became painfully unstable a few years ago, I went with Afterburner and never had any issues.


On 3/02/2018 I purchased my first the 1080Ti Hybrid FTW and I had to use this new Precision XOC at the time to run the GPU and everything was fine until the later updates started.
 
I haven't gone back to the version (6.1.14) but I'm willing to try that, have the link?... I do use the OSD that's how it's been for years with me, I like monitoring while consistently gaming and it's in the software for that specific purpose if one chooses to use it.

That is great that they were able to fix it for you within a few hours. I am experiencing the exact same issue and was informed it is going to take "a couple of days" to get the flash tool. Now I am stuck with a malfunctioning GPU for an undetermined amount of time because of the PX1 software. One thing I love when dealing with companies is inconsistency.
