It has been reported by multiple people that BIOS version 1.07 causes huge intermittent FPS drops/stutters.
If you aren't worried about losing some Spectre/Meltdown security protection, you can try going back to BIOS version 1.06 and see if things improve.
I don't know the exact model you own nor operating system, so I can't give you a direct link. But, here is where you can find it:
https://www.evga.com/support/download/Select "other products" tab. Then, choose category "laptop", select model number (written on sticker on back of laptop), select type "BIOS", uncheck "show latest driver" in order to see the older version 1.06, click Submit, and then download the one appropriate for your laptop.
Once you have the 1.06 BIOS, I recommend that you extract the contents of the archive, copy the .ROM file to a USB stick, and then do the firmware update from within the BIOS (right-most tab in BIOS and bottom-most option). You can do the update from within Windows, but I personally think it is safer to do it outside of the operating system. It's up to you though.
