Just received my 1200 p2. Honestly hate the factory cables. So my question is, if I sleeve the factory cables, will I void warranty? There's a possibility I would be removing the capacitors. Yes I know they have a sleeved option. They are also not what I want. Thanks in advance for anyone who knows for sure.

If you mod your cables, you do risk voiding the warranty. I am not sure how evga would handle this honestly.

You could just go through cablemods and get the cables from them.

If you RMA a unit, do they require you to return the cables as well? Could always find a second set or make my own if I have to. My current gpu cables can be easily converted. But you old psu was not fully modular, so I need to do my 24 pin for sure. Thanks for your opinion.
Not really interest in cable mods cables. Would rather do my own. Just don't want to waste a 12 yr warranty

I believe you would RMA the PSU only & not the cables

[Edit see Post #7 - Keep all accessories as you will only be receiving a power supply in return.]

However - If you incorrectly wire the cables and that damages the PSU - I'd think the warranty would be Void

Start by selecting your region of the world, then PSU

I can entirely understand that. I'll just have to weigh my options. Thanks for your input

    • Cuts or modification to the factory cabling.
They do list this in what is not covered. Does this mean that a different set of made cables would also void warranty?

Ok, according to that PDF, you keep your cables. Which would give me the option to sleeve my own. Thank you for finding this for me. I appreciate the effort. I also sent their support an email.

    Happy to help

Just be very careful, have a great labeling plan

There have been members whom have made mistakes in the past - some got luck and did not kill their hardware. They still had a hard time figuring out why their PC would not run --- ended up being just 2 wires were somehow crossed / misplaced

Talked to support and it sounds like as long as my sleeving does not result in a problem, I should be fine. I decided to use factory cables and just sleeve them. I only remove one wire at a time in order to make sure there are no mistakes. Thanks again for your help.

    Good luck.
It's not only too look nice, they should survive bending, pulling, reinstallation, cleaning with brushed from dust, etc...
My experience told me, only crimmping over sleeve could make them strong as fabric and only if sleeve is thin.
MDPC-X now have some 2-3mm I think sleeve...

Add some pictures to your mOds rig profile when you're done.

Thanks for the comments and advice everyone. Sorry, my modsrigs is slightly out of date. I removed pics because they were quite old. I started sleeving with some left over teleios in my free time the other night. Now I am just waiting on more to show up. I'll throw up a pic from my previous psu, I am sleeving the same color pattern.
