Okay, I understand you. My p/n (151-SE-E777-K2) at the end of the line K2 is not KR.
When I choose from the download list 151-SE-E777 so far right ,  but when I look at the notes !
151-SE-E777-K2 is not listed, only 151-SE-E777-KR .

The letters at the end of the model number just tell what warranty it has as seen here > https://www.evga.com/support/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=58536
As long as you use the link for the motherboard model you have, you'll be good...  http://cdn.evga.com/BIOS/x79/E777_flashtool_206.zip

Flash a new bios, sure; just let me save my latest overclock first.
Flash-----Flash,  reboot. load saved settings.. opps all profiles gone!

I forgot you need to do screen shots, nothing gets saved.

This 4.5G OC I'm on now will do me for a while.

Some of my fans are like really fast now after the flash. What else besides security happened on this new bios?

My recommedation for any BIOS rev update is to document your OC settings (pen & paper, pictures, thumb drive, etc.), set BIOS to default, reboot, make only the changes required for the new BIOS (ie, boot order, CSM, UEFI, etc.), and flash new BIOS,  Then go back through all the new BIOS settings and set things up how you like.  Not just clock speeds and voltages, but all the other changes you had in place prior to the update.

To many things could have gotten changed, omitted, or added with a new BIOS to take a chance.

Does the most recent bios update also include compatibility with the NVIDIA RTX 3000 series for X79 ftw?
