Has anyone pre-ordered a unit here in Australia?  I'm hearing prices around the $3k mark???

    If anything, those are either price gouging e-tailers or scalpers.

    I'd expect closer to $2k when all said and done. A $1200 GPU translates to $1635 AUD, and that's most likely before tax. I'm not sure what the Aussie tax is, though.

    You are pretty spot on.  A retailer has them listed around the $2099 mark...
