Is it possible to nvlink a evga 2080ti XC Ultra and a Gigabyte 2080ti OC Gaming Card or do they have to be the same brand? Also I presume I would put the thinner Gigabyte as Card 1 so there is space between the cards(3 slot nvlink)

Should be just fine.

The top card is definitely going to be hotter, so just be aware of that.

I agree with Sajin... Getting the Kingpin version of the 2080Ti is well worth the wait :D

Technically the Kingpin version should not be so different from the FTW3, just a bit more phase and a cooler a bit more powerful. I think what they miss to really release the kingpins is more 2080Ti chips. They probably need to bin GPUs to assure that the Kingpin can clock higher and are worth their price.

If my deductions are correct, you should see them released a bit after they stop running out of stock ;)

But Sajin i hope if you get 2 of these you'll watercool them properly with hydro copper blocks. Using these in aircooling is like using a ferrari only on countryside roads... It should be illegal

Donno why people insist on calling this NVLink? At best it's NVLink Lite, at worst it's SLI 4.0 requiring people to buy new bridge hardware. Nvidia in their wisdom decided to cripple much of this NVLink implementation like they do with most consumer hardware products.

2 -  EVGA 2080TI with NVLink  on air - Fire Strike Ultra 14360 - just a quick tests, not even optimized

At this time - No Motherboard OC: CPU & RAM running "auto settings" I'm sure the score could be better if - Physics Score, was not such a drag @ stock clocks

So - Pay special attention to the Graphics score: 17650

My suggestion would be to email NVidia and tell them to change the name of the product they sell. Until NVidia changes the name to sli, it will remain NvLink, since it is branded as such.

It's neither proper SLI nor proper NVLink. Have you ever emailed Nvidia for a product change before? My suggestion would be to say your suggestion is silly.

If you buy a bridge, what is the name of the bridge to link to cards together? NVLink.

Contacting NVidia was just sarcasm, as clearly nvodka doesn’t care what we think about naming, lol
