Am i the only one that thinks these cards are ugly as sin. I like the way the FE looks, but just looks like an old design like an old xfx or something. But these cards EVGA came out with the cheap looking see thru plastic is so ugly. Looks like it came out a quarter machine. Just my opinion. Feel like evga could of done alot better then a see thru plastic shroud.

Shrug, different strokes for different folks. I actually like the clear plastic. Makes it easy to see inside the fin stack on my FTW3 to see if it is clean.

You can't know it's "cheap plastic" if you don't get it in your hands... have you go one? I remember someone in the forums mentioning that the card felt really well built and tough. I also know EVGA is making high quality products. As for the design, there's a different taste for everyone... I like it and even though I prefer the look of some other manufacturers, I believe EVGA has hit a great (if not perfect) balance between looks and performance. It's also important than EVGA is making a new design for every new generation while ASUS, MSI and probably others too are just recycling the 10-series coolers so far. EDIT: Oh and don't forget the optional (and free) trims that come in 3 colors and also the "shield" for the FTW3... I wonder if the shield will come for free inside the package...

It seems more like "Different strokes and we don't care if you don't like it, folks" to me...putting out that RGB trash over a slick, sleek black and silver card.... if it were "Different strokes for different folks", they'd have both available at launch... tho the cost is making me balk regardless.

Just buy a FE than if you're in for the looks, but don't complain afterwards... They are still loud and hot. Not much has changed. Also EVGA cards seem to look much better in builds, than on pictures...

Stop staring into the side of your tower. The important stuff is happening on your display panel. If the hardware inside your tower is functioning as designed, all is good. Doesn't matter if it's clear, black, green, purple, or a pulsating swirl of LEDs.

The next few months will be interesting as bios, drivers, and cooling options develop.

Scotty typed the formula for transparent aluminum into their 8086 computer back in the 80s to save the whales. That's probably what it is. LOL

EVGA’s cards indeed look cheap. FE design uses premium materials. I love the design.

Personally I could care less about the looks. All I saw was that phat heatsink on the XC Ultra and FTW3 and I smashed that preorder button.

They do look nice but for all that inlet area for the two fans, they don’t have much exhaust area which stalls the fans so the FE cards run significantly hotter than the designs like EVGA's which have lots of exhaust area. That nice look comes at a price. Personally, I also like the looks of the EVGA cards but as outhers say, I won’t be looking at my box. I’ll be looking at the monitor and VR headset.

that's not entirely true. My card at full bore in PrePar3D manages at 61-71c and I see it bangin' 104% on the voltage in th e"Power" box. I won't rely on the numbers just yet since Precision is still beta. My Corsair AIO makes way more fan niose that these GPU's . LOL
