This version looking amazing with RT, eager to see just how taxing it will be having RTX on.

The lighting is improved so it will be very interesting to see the benchmarks. I just hope the game can look this good and play smooth at 4K without having to have like two 2080TI running it.

Good. Ambient Occlusion, regardless of what variation that is used looks pretty awful and it's easily noticed. This is a YUGE step in the right direction and will become the new standard for games just like when Directx 10 arrived with all it's awesome new shaders allowing for basic things we take for granted now days such as volumetric particle effects.

Only is problem because few generations will need to become playable smooth on 4K.

4k isn't anywhere close to a standard most game in, that's still 1080p. Expecting new tech to perform well enough on ridiculous resolutions like 4k in it's first generation is pretty absurd. 4k is just goofy as is to push high pixel numbers. It changes nothing visually, but requires significant rendering power to do so.
