One day I was gaming, Going good, no issues for over 6 months with an SLI set up, and then my computer froze, and turned off. when I tried to start it back up, It took a very long time to load up, almost 4 times longer than normal. When it did, the desktop resolution looked like 800x600 with little blue dots on the top 2/3s of the monitor and the precision x saying basically "incorrect hardware" and windows default drivers trying to install but failing everytime. Started trouble shooting (swapping cards, uninstalling/reinstalling drivers, changing cords and monitors) and realize that my original EVGA 780 SC, that I had purchased the February after their release, was the issue. The second one I had purchased in February of this year, Loaded up windows just fine with no dots or anything. After a few more swaps, the Dots changed to lines (if i can attach a picture, I will attach a similar looking picture, I seem to have lost my own pictures) Tried contacting EVGA with no luck, just a referral to check this forum out. I did fins the reflow method, and tried it. I really don't think I left it in for long enough, but It seemed to work a little better until a driver install restart, that took it back to the "broken" stage.
My question is, Should I try again? Reflow it for closer to 10 minutes or just give up and continue playing on one card, like I have been for a few months now? I realize that SLI isn't all that supported anymore, but I did notice an almost double frame jump when I was running both.

The rest of my hardware is as follows ( can be more specific if needed)
        i5-7600k factory clock
        16gb G.skill Ram
        Msi SLI PLUS z270 Mobo
        EVGA supernova 750w
        EVGA 780 SC ACX2.0 3GB 1x now, 2x at time of failure.

Wouldn't hurt to try the reflow again.

    Welcome to the forums.

Do the 'oven trick' (reflow) again..I go 200C (392F) for 10 - 15 minutes..GPU chip side up..Then hope for the best.

Alright, Here in a couple days, I will try it again. My worry is that I don't have any extra thermal compound right now, and won't fully be able to test once it is done. But it is one of those, I don't want to run out and buy some for it to not work, but I can't check if it did work or not without it.

One by one from my generation, Kepler, die...
Only my K|NGP|N still work, 200MHz overclocked.

Temps on my GPU are pretty high, I keep on 80% fan profile, I will replace thermal paste as well.
    It's time.
I must say officialy, never in my gaming carrier I was on single GPU in house and so old.
Always I had something to give me some time before I find new one and picture to choose new one.
