    I mean--no point in downloading it yet. I'll do a driver wipe on Friday to start with clean drivers for the new card.

    UnTil they ship the cards it means little

    NZXT 630, Cooler Master v1000 PS, i7 5775c 4.1ghz,32 Gigs 1866mhz Ram, Gigabyte Z97 Gaming Black Edition /wifi, RTX2080 , Intel Optane SSD PCIE Boot Drive, Plus some SSD for game storage. Creative Sound Blaster Z sound card, etc...

    Well it says it supports the 1080 cards as well, since they mention VR also I may have to go ahead and give these a try before my 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra gets here.
    See if it does anything for my 1080 Ti FTW3.

    Looks like most of the optimization is for the 2XXX cards

    Just an FYI from page 6 of the release notes:
     

    Limitations in This Release
     
    The following features are not
    currently supported or have limited support in this driver release:
    Turing GPU Driver Installation on Windows 10
    Drivers for Turing GPUs will not be installed
    on systems with Windows 10 RS2 or earlier.
    This includes Windows 10 Threshold 1, Threshold 2, Redstone 1, and Redstone 2

    it seems to have the wrong build number, it was built this year but is 9.17 instead of 9.18

    oh, ok, the version is 9.18.0907  but the release notes have a typo, i'll chuck a message Manuels way so he can get the docs team to fix that.
