I have recently acquired two 1080Ti FTW3 in SLi. My previous SLi was 2 x GTX 980. The Precision 16 was crashing all the times so I ended up using Afterburner to control the FAN speed. Everything was ok until I got these two 1080Ti. The Precision XOC is not crashing but what I don't understand is this. With Precision XOC, GPU2 always has a higher temperature, around 70C when playing COD WWII whereas GPU1 hovering between 40C to 60C. I couldn't understand this. I know that PhysX is automatically allocated to GPU2 according to NVidia Control Panel but I never see this high temperature with GPU2. So, out of curiosity, I stopped Precision XOC and then started up Afterburner. Well, well, well, now it is showing GPU1 being the one with higher temperature. By the way, it never reached 70C. Obviously, this must have something to do with the fan curve that I had set up for Afterburner with previous two graphics card. So, can anyone help me by explaining the GPU2 being the one with higher temp when using Precision XOC but when using Afterburner, GPU1 was the one with higher temperature. Is this how Precision XOC work? Secondly, I would be most grateful if anyone can point me to some sort of instructions for using Precision XOC. Afterburner is so much more logical. I learned it without any manual or instruction. Precision XOC, on the other hand, seems to work in a different logic. Many thanks in advance for your help. Oh, one last thing, I have not overclocked any of my GPUs and CPU.

Hello and welcome to the forums!

Afterburner is not able to see all the temperature sensors on the FTW3 cards. Please send a screen shot from Precision X OC showing your temperature sensors to support@evga.com so that we may better assist you.

Thanks for the quick response, EVGATech_JeffP. I am at work at the moment (UK London time). I will send the screenshots as soon as I get home after work.

Software bug. GPU1 reading as GPU2 has been a known issue for awhile now. Only evga's programming team can fix this issue.

Hi, while creating the print screen of what the sensors are monitoring, I have noticed that when changing the GPU, the top one is actually GPU2 and the bottom one is GPU1. Well, that explains everything! Now, I would be most grateful if I can be pointed to a guide or manual of Precision XOC. Many many thanks.
