Trying to diagnose and hopefully, fix a screeching EVGA GTX 980 ti Classified. It's making a screeching sound that I assume has something to do with a fan.  Can fans or motors be replaced? Seen video:
Thoughts?

Edit: And wouldn't you know it, the link doesn't appear on my post. Must be some sort of security feature.  If anyone can tell me how to link to the video  it'd be great.

Doing this may fix your issue. Put spaces in your link to make it show up.

Like a cat being strangled. I'm tempted to simply cut the wires and remove that fan...though that would result in heat issues. Replacement fans are available but all come from Asia and take weeks to be shipped.

If the card is still under warranty you could do a standard cross ship rma and just swap the coolers.

It's out of warranty so I'm looking for a new fan or a third party cooling system. Any suggestions?

could be a dry bearings  ?   look at this pic and see under the fan motor tag/ sticker    get to that and put a small drop of oil  [ I use atf ] or 3 in 1 or sewing mechine oil  .

if there bad you could find fans like at ebay to buy and try [ check link from in here and search as well for a deal ]

I think I linked a 3ed party cooler in it as well for a example
