Firstly, i'm running the Thermaltake Core P3 open case, with a custom loop and the 1080ti SC2 on air. So as i'm typing this, the two fans on the radiator that's 6cm thick are running and keeping CPU temp at around 31°C with room temp 26°C.
The meter on the wall is saying i'm using 120W, of which around 30W are the 32" screen and speakers, so the PSU doesn't power them.
That means at 90W out of 1300W, which isn't even 10% load, all i can hear is the PSU's fan spinning and it's quite annoying, somewhere close to what the 1080ti sounds like at 70% fan.
Is this normal at such load? I've read the fan curve is a bit aggressive but at 10% load?
ECO mode is nice, if it turns the fan on at 55°C or 40% load, it will probably never turn on as my whole system when benchmarking with the 1080ti overclocked uses 450W. In ECO mode it does get a bit warm to touch after 5 hours of use and some gaming, but probably still well below 50°C. I'm guessing the PSU is built to last at temperatus where the fan never has to turn on?
