Hello,

I only have a few days left to upgrade from a 1080 (I was waiting for the 2080 which I will now apparently miss out on by a slim margin) and I just discovered that the 1080 Ti was removed from the EU list - meaning that I no longer can upgrade at all. It was my fall-back all along so to speak.

Is this intentional and/or can I expect it to be made available again this week? I do not mind waiting to get the actual upgrade card but I would like to "get in line" before my 90 days expire (the same would apply for the 2080 but whatever).

I must say that I am somewhat disappointed by the lack of flexibility within those 90 days even though it being there at all is better than the competition. Still, EVGA's USP is not as strong as I had hoped when I bought my 1080 ~3 months ago.

It would in my opinion be entirely reasonable to offer the (available) SC2 cards as step-ups in lieu of the "standard" cards since the difference is quite marginal at best?

I don't have an answer for you at this time so I will refer this thread to EVGA

Unfortunately the Step Up stock is subject to change without notice and we do not announce if or when products will be added or removed.

Right, I understand that it is well within EVGA's rights to change it at their own discretion but I must say that I am bit surprised that EVGA removed their current #1 card  from the program before the replacement card is made available. Especially when essentially the same card remains available for purchase. Well well, I will have to keep that in mind going forward.

For whatever it is worth I would at least urge EVGA to consider offering the SC2 cards as upgrades in the step-up program.

    EDIT: @rjohnson11 - 4 days left

Then you would need to consider the 1080SC as a stepup or just pay for a new card. Maybe sell your existing card and use that cash to help buy a new EVGA card. So you do have some options.

Our EU teams recently did inventory which is likely why that particular part was removed. The release date of any product doesn't affect those offered on the Step-Up program except that a product must have been released to be considered for the Step-Up program.

Thanks everyone for letting me know but I had actually missed the deadline by a mere few days. Still, without going into too much detail, EVGA did come through for me so I have to say that their reputation for excellent customer support is indeed well-deserved.
