Their horrendous shipping charges (to Canada) are enough to keep me from ordering direct from them.  I like their products, but always deal brick and mortar for video cards.  I find most vendors find a way to get around giving you back all of your money on a return, all website/store claims mean to me is paper will not refuse ink.

However - You also have the option to buy directly from Canada distributors the list is published here

I do not recall any Graphics Cards from EVGA came without a shrink-wrapped.
From EVGA's Website or any other Website.
The Only item I have ever seen without shrink-wrapped was the Z10 KB.

Then perhaps they sent me a card that had already been opened before.  Who knows.  I opened the outer (shipping box), and it never got any farther than that.  Was about to ship it back and saw the sticker and thought, "great, this looks like it was opened, i better take a photo."  But, the fact is, if they send you something in this condition then one has zero recourse if you actually don't open it.  I refuse to ever do business again with a company that will arbitrarily take $100 of my money because they sent me a poorly packaged product.  So, just be warned - it can happen to you to.  That's all.

No this will not happen to me. The reason is when I purchase something and have it delivered I am 100% sure before paying this is what I want. I even feel safer buying from EVGA cause if for some reason I miss a new product announcement. I know EVGA has my back with their awesome step up program. One I have used several times through the years with great success.

Honestly never had an issue ordering from eVGA directly...probably never will...and if they have what I want in stock and at
the price point I am willing to pay, I'll still buy from them.

I just can't get past the missing shrinkwrap.  Have never received a new GPU (not refurb) from them without it.  Kudos to EVGA for making good on this anyway.

I can confirm they even shrink wrap refubs (at least the 2 I have received).

I only buy directly from EVGA and I have done so for some 8 years. Haven't had an issue personally.

Most RX (B-stock) cards will come in a brown card box that we shrink wrap.
Most GTX 1080 Ti models are not shrink wrapped as they come with a more premium card box that is already laminated and has a bit of a textured surface. Most other GTX 10 series card models were shrink wrapped, so that is likely part of the confusion.
All the of the RTX cards, that I have seen so far, have the new premium, vertical card box design (which I did the unboxing video of) and those do not come shrink wrapped.

...an untrammeled flow of words in an open forum.
