Hello,

I'm deciding to get a new PSU (1000W Supernova T2). I currently have a 750W T2 with the blue/black power cable 750-850 version.

I noticed that this cable is not compatible with the 1000W Supernova T2, but it works with the 1000W PQ.

Can anyone confirm this? What is the difference?

EDIT: What I am ultimately trying to figure out is if my 750W cables would work on the 1000W T2.

I would get the correct cables. It's not worth risking a system to try to make a power cable work. I understand wanting to save money but nothing is saved if by trying you fry the system. It's power and when it comes to power you shouldn't cut corners.

Looking at the parts it looks like the supported ones have a different part number. Probably a thicker cable to handle more wattage.

Yes, I spoke with a customer service agent today.

They recommend using the cables with the correct wattage. Apparently, my cables are compatible but not suited for the T2 1000W.

With these models available if my PSU die, I hope not... I will need to invest EVGA 1000 T2 or at least 850 T2.
Price of 750 T2 is significantly lower but I can't expect silence and fanless operation.

EVGA 1000 T2 is perfect, size, quality, performance, color on label, everything...
In same time that's my favorite model of all brands and power on market.
Special now when very often PC Case have space for PSU on back chamber don't need to be much smaller.
