Just last year, this SSD (or at least the 850) was just over $2000 CAD. Now, it's about $1399 CAD. Great to see pricing drop this far, so far - even though it's SATA. Rapid Mode is a plus too. I want one.

    SATA is the limit for continuous stream of data.  A HDD could have additional limit for seek with rotational track access.  My take would be SSD only with PCIE I/O

    Lol, well I'm still on SATA II with my X58. 😆 Personally, I'd get one of these and pair it up with a 120 GB Optane. Though, I rarely have to transfer extra large files around on my drives so SATA III to me is still a big step up from what I have.

    I did have a higher end LSI RAID card once with a single drive (JBOD). Although the benchmarks looked great, I didn't see a difference. However, I do see a difference on the newer chipsets with SATA III and m.2.
