With the new 2080 / 2080 Ti cards being announced on the 20th and possibly being on sale by next week I was wondering what the general time frame has been in the past for EVGA to release their own custom SC/FTW/Gaming models for sale. How quickly were the EVGA cards available after the release of the 1080 two years ago and 1080 Ti last year? In both instances I waited 2-3 months to pick up a a new card but this time I'm pretty sure I want to try and get one as soon as possible.

More to come once there is a release. Be patient. NDA doesn’t lift prior to nvidia announcements

I know there is no information out right now about the release of EVGA 2080/2080 Ti cards. I'm asking in general if anyone remembers how quickly they were available with previous releases of Nvidia cards

Nvidia held a monopoly on the 1080/1070 launch for a good 2 weeks initially. After that, it seriously varied. EVGA has to wait for PCB’s to come to them to build them up, then test them, and all sorts of other stuff. I would guess that they could have a batch ready at release and then again a week or two later.
Custom pcb’s will definitely take longer, since the engineers will have to sort out all of the magic required to get things to work.

*puts +5 speculative helm on* Partners have been working with the new tech for weeks. Nvidia will launch on the 20th with immediate OEM stock available. I think they delayed announcement/launch to stock up for launch this time. I think partner products will be available far faster than previously as well. *removes +5 speculative helm*

I can't remember how it went for the Pascal launch, can someone remind me? Will EVGA have reference (Founder's Editions) available at launch? I'd like a RTX 2080ti ASAP and don't mind having a reference PCB but I'd like to have EVGA's support.

AIB partners are usually after Nvidia's releases. It's usually the reference GPU's (bone stock) that are ready for sale right away. For EVGA custom board and the likes, it can take anywhere from 1-2+ months after release. I remember it took around 3 months? for a Classified Hydro Copper iirc (GTX 780 Classified HC).

Well my assumption on the Founders Edition looks to be wrong. ASUS is showing a blower style RTX 2080 Ti.

I'll say EVGA will start orders or preorders on Monday August 20th, 2018.
