Hi, coming off of my last thread I've since received my new 850w G2 PSU via RMA of a faulty 750w G2 PSU. EVGA were kind enough to send me an 850w back, although I've noted that the box it shipped in is lacking a UK-styled 3-pronged wall plug (They've sent me a 2-prong shaver style plug, which is useless to me as far as I know.)
This got me thinking as a result. Is it safe to use the plug socket of my old 750w G2 and/or 650w G2 when plugging this new 850w G2 into the wall? And are the modular cables from my original 650w G2 sufficient to use in the new 850w G2? This has left me a little mixed up is all so some insight into the matter would be appreciated. Removing the modular cables and swapping them out would be a bit of a worry as some are particularly difficult to get at, but if it's a risk to use 650w G2 modular cables then I'd rather not chance things and be without my build for a 3rd week
Thanks for any help in advance.

750W and lower units use an 18 AWG AC power cable and 850W-1300W units use a 16 AWG AC power cable..The higher the AWG number the thinner the wires..Generally speaking, as long as your cable rating (in Amps) is greater than the max current drawn by your PSU model, you should be able to draw the necessary power for the system safely..You can buy the proper AC power cable just about anywhere PC parts and accessories are sold, even in some supermarkets..The end that goes into the PSU is an industry standard C13 end that fits in the PSU's industry standard C14 socket.
B2/G2/P2/T2 and B3/G3 PSU cables can be interchanged..You can always
Contact EVGA
to confirm, or an EVGA Tech might chime in on this.
See the EVGA FAQs below.
What is the rating for my PSU wall cable?
