So as title says.. what should I have the pump's RPM at? At default it runs at max RPM, which is 2.9k - 3k and it does a little bit of noise. When I turn it down to 2400 the noise is gone, but obviously the RPMs are less im not sure what effect it would have on the cooling.

What do you guys suggest?

p.s. I just bought the cooler

Is the noise annoying to you? I have had mine at max and really don’t notice the noise but know others need systems to run as silently as possible. In a way I don’t know if you will get a right answer without knowing what the temperatures are while running benchmarks to see what the drop in pump speeds is doing in your case.

I mean the noise is not necessarily annoying. I can only hear it if I don't have my headset on. If im more than like 4 feet away from my pc I also don't hear it that much. I have set the pump speed to 2460 rpm and generally the temperature stayed the same as when I had it at max speed (3k)… ill try running a more graphically intensive game today and test.

Cavitation will cause noise, you need to let it run 24 hr and work any air bubbles out of pump and into radiator.

If you want, gentle tipping of PC while it is running can help air bubbles move. Extra caution if you have mechanical HD.

Bubbles will only move up hill and down stream

If temps hold the lower pump speed works

I see, thank you for the information. Shortly after turning on the pc today the radiator started making some noise I am not really sure what it was but it is completely gone now. I ran a game on ultra graphics and my cpu temp stayed practically the same as well at the lower RPM... So I guess as for rpm speed I am good. But what about the noise the radiator made? Maybe it was the 24 hour thing?

I keep it under 2300 otherwise I'll be able to hear the pump when my fans are near 1100rpm.
