Hello all,

I'm pretty happy with my new (3 weeks old) EVGA SC 15 laptop besides two issues and one of those makes me very unhappy...

1st.: The battery will be drained for 5-10 percent when the laptop is turned completely of over night. This problem is not a killer, but this is something new for me and I wonder if this is a normal behavior.

2nd.: While playing counter strike source (yeah, I know this is pretty old but I'm too :)) I have figured out the keyboard does not react on my key entries whenever I have pressed 3 or more keys at the same time. I thinks pressing some more keys at the same time should be just normal for playing games on a gaming laptop since I think this must be an issue and I hope someone can help me?

I have installed all latest Windows 10 drivers as well as the latest bios version on my laptop.

Thank you very much

Markus

1. Definitely not normal.
2. You may want to try using an external keyboard.

1) Unfortunately, based on many reports from other users, it does appear that this is a "normal" bad behavior to experience. EVGA is remaining quiet on the subject; which usually means it is a defect and EVGA has no good ideas about how to fix it. No suggestions from any user has uncovered a solution or workaround. It appears to be a hardware defect causing the battery to drain.

2) Yes, it's a limitation of the laptop. You need a n-key rollover compatible keyboard; which the laptop's is not.

Hello,

thank you both for your answers to both of my issues.

But I really can not understand that a gaming notebook, which the SC15 definitely should be, is not able to fullfil one of the minor requirement of games to be able to press more than 2 keys at the same time? I hope you are kidding? I would like to play on my laptop without having any displays or keyboards connected but I would, I would have paid a desktop.

Very disappointing to me I must say... There is no chance to get this work?

Both are hardware limitations. There's not much that can be done.
