I'm sure my issues were caused by the failing PSU, which the 850 G2 easily took care of... I'm still running the P43/Q6600 combo, believe it, or not...
Since resetting the BIOS, after the dying PSU took out 4 HDDs, haven't had any trouble, at all with the Gigabyte mobo, aside from not gaming when the ambient temps are insanely high...
I know, 10 years is long enough... Need to get a new Mobo, CPU, and DDR4...
Can't believe how solid it is, as much as I put it through...
Have been spending my cash on rock & roll gear, which is why I'm not rockin' a newer rig...

Hey, at least the rock gear goes up in value over time. :) I have a couple lga775 rigs that I run once in awhile that ,in all fairness ,should be dead cause I really pushed them hard for a lot of years. I always took care of them though, kept them clean, always ran them very cool and I always cover unused sockets at the least. That method seems to work cause my gtx780 ive been using 24/7 since they launched and its still going, lol.

Actually still running My Gigabyte P43/Q6600/EVGA750ti FTW. The Supernova 850G2 hasn't had a whisper of trouble, either... Hopefully I can afford to update my rig, soon, my games are hitting a wall now, have to cut back to medium settings, to get a few of the latest NFS's running smoothly... Older games still run at ultra, though... Can't believe how long this rig has lasted, has been OC'd to 3400-3800Mhz, since I built it in '10, running 24/7... Interestingly, I've never OC'd the 750ti FTW, no need, none of the games make it hit the wall... CPU runs at 99%, though... Over all very happy with EVGA psu's and Video cards... Would like to try a mobo, one of these days, and that audio card, as well...

Finally have an update to report... Check it out, y'all..
Mods Rigs S'No Vision, G...   Finally... Updated my rig. See in Mods Rigs... Is really just a modernization of the old setup, but still, ran the EP43/Q6600 setup for 13 years... Hoping the new setup will last as long... New parts as follows: White Fractal gaming case, (Only case I found with room for 2 DVD burners), Gigabyte Z590 Vision G mobo, i3 10105 CPU, 32GB GSkill Ripjaws DDR4, Hyper 212 Black edition CPU cooler, better high flow fans throughout... Eventually, will upgrade to an i7 11700K CPU, EVGA 3060 black video card, 128 GB Corsair DDR4 Memory...
