I recently bought a new gtx 1080 ftw and mistakingly update the bios to the 86.04.3b.01.02 to the “master” bios but after some reading said that I don’t have to. But the main reason it’s bothering me so much is after the bios update the performance is really poor and i forget the number of the stock bios. Can someone show me how to reset that back to new (18 july 2018) or give me the stock bios number of that time for the install. Thanks!

Simply ask evga for the file. Open a support ticket and request the stock bios’ and they should be able to send you a copy of an executable file for the bios’ that does everything for you.

Thank for your advice! But can I ask how long it will take to be solved because run as the second bios kinda noisy and i'm afraid it will decreased the life span of the card.

Runing the 2nd bios is best cause of the more aggressive fans will help cool the card better hence increase the life span of your card.. better yet would be to increase the fans more..

At any rate you can call evga 24/7 and they will answer pretty quick to help you.

    Thanks AHowes!

I know if the cooling is better but the speed kinda high and personally I don’t need that power because i only play some PUBG and CSGO. But the bios on the thread make my 1080 run PUBG in low setting only 40fps. That why it’s bothering me alot and I want the stock bios back to fix this problem!

You can find the original VBIOS (primary/master and secondary/slave) for a GTX 1080 FTW (and other cards) here on the Thermal Mod page, if that's the one you're looking for..Or just get it from EVGA support as mentioned above.

That's not unheard of..Flash back to the original VBIOS with the .exe in the link in Post #6 above, or Contact EVGA Customer Service by phone (fastest way) or email..An EVGA Tech might even contact you if they see, or are referred to your post.

The EVGA GTX 1080 SC ACX is only a single-BIOS card, no second BIOS.

What I would do is uninstall the NVIDIA Graphics Driver using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) in Safe Mode..Then install the latest NVIDIA Graphics Driver using the Custom (Advanced) install option and choose only to install the PhysX System Software along with the Graphics Driver, and roll from there.

Might even want to uninstall EVGA Precision XOC, then restart your PC, the delete the leftover Precision XOC files/folders in the Program Files (x86)\EVGA folder, then install Precision XOC again

Other than that, contact EVGA Customer Service.
