Anyone using Frontier FiOS for internet? Are they reliable? We're using comcast right now. The upload speed is not very good. In our area, we need to get the 1Gb download plan to get upload speed to 25Mb, but costs a lot of money. Frontier offers 50/50, 75/75, 100/100, and 150Mb/150Mb up/down. Thank you.

I have Verizon FIOS and it is really good. I have had DSL, cable roadrunner, FIOS is way better than those were.
The speed is constant up and down, no drop in speed cause everyone in the neighborhood is online or cause it is raining.
My connection up time is well over 99%, it rarely ever goes down.
I pay for 50/50 and it is 60/65 most of the time I test it.
The TV service is good too, great picture and always up, hardly ever goes out.

Bad thing is contracts, 2 years at a clip. But I am not going any where any time soon so not a deal breaker for me.

Internet service is good but yes leaving them is a pain. Wouldn't have left if their technical management would've coordinated with my landlord better so he could get the necessary equipment for a proper install. Took over a month so I just went with Spectrum. Had 100/100 with Frontier($75/mo), now I have 400/25 with Spectrum($70/mo) and think I'm enjoying it more. Websites load snappier, can download huge games in minutes, super low ping,...my fear of Spectrum is quickly disintegrating.

Thanks everyone. We might give Frontier a try. 50/50 or 75/75 seems like a good option. It seems strange that they don't have the option to order it online. I've heard bad things about their CS but hopefully the fiber service is reliable and we wouldn't have to contact them.

Good luck.  Keep a close eye on your bill.  I re-upped with Frontier and my rate was supposed to be a certain way.  Then month to month I would see some large variances in what I was supposed to pay (always higher, never lower).  I am looking forward to my contract expiring beginning of next year.

Had Verizon FiOS which became Frontier FiOS.
Internet service and speeds are great (usually get a little more than what I pay for), rarely have any problems.
Frontier customer service/technical support is a new level of unrelenting hell that I do not wish upon anyone (not exaggerating here).
Verizon was much better and even Charter has better support.
