My old PSU in my secondary PC died spectacularly,  and I've received my 750w SUPERNOVA G3.  I haven't installed it yet, because I have no idea if it took out other MB components, and I have no idea if there are procedures that I should go through before powering on the new one to avoid further damage.  2nd PC specs: Asus P8Z68V-PRO/GEN 3, 2500K, 8Gb Corsair DDR3, 2 Asus Radeon HD 7770 2Gb in Crossfire,  and 2 spinny-drives.  I know enough, but I need the help of the community to prevent follow-on explosions.  Any help youz guyz can offer will be hugely appreciated.  If you need more information, I will be happy to provide it.  TIA!

Just be sure to use the cables that came with your fully modular 750 G3 and not old cables from a different PSU unless the following applies.

Cables for G2/G3/GP/P2/T2/B3 PSUs are interchangable/compatible as stated here in Post #2, and others are not..Pinouts on other PSUs are different, even though the cables may fit in the PSU.

    That's all.

    Bump-ski

    I fully endorse this statement.

Besides that out of the box your PSU is going to recommend it its just a smoother experience and eliminates unnecessary snafus.
I actually have this same exact PSU and its great man you'll love it.
Its durable as all hell (don't smash it up now and get carried away lol), modular yet the modular plugs are sturdy and no nonsense, you not only get a 10 year warranty but make sure you register soon! I believe you can extend that bad boy to a whopping 12 years at the moment.
Plus sweet Velcro cord concealment ties. Huzzah!

Also; not sure if its worth noting that you can use that PSU 24 pin tester with any plugged in PSU I used it to sell my almost 8 year old kingwin lazer series at a CVS and plugged it into an outside outlet lmao.
