Hi there,

Yesterday, I instaled my new 1080ti instead of my old GTX780. When I tried to play to Doom, at 20 or 30 seconds, my screen was full of green dots and after, my PC shutdown.

In the welcome screen at reinit the PC, the main board informed that there was a power supply problem and the PC was shutdown in order to protect the system...

After I did test with furmark tool with the same result:

I know the problem probably it is the PSU (600w), but the green dots has me pissed...

Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the card is artifacting. I would suggest trying a different psu if you suspect your current psu has a problem.

Thanks a lot for your response, Sajin.

But any way, the artifacts only happens in the previous moment to the shutdown.

For example, trying the furmark, the artifacts never happens, the PC shutdown cleanly.

No problem. Are you running an asus motherboard? If yes, try disabling asus anti surge in the bios to see if that helps prevent the shutdown while running furmark.

Hello Fermi44! Sorry to hear about the artifacting problems. As Sajin pointed out, it would be a good idea to test with a different power supply or even test the card in another system if you are able to. If the problem still persists with different components, please be sure to contact us at supportEU@evga.com and we will be happy to assist further.

Unafortunatelly, after i changed my old PSU by a EVGA G3 850w the problems are the same.

Definitely, it seems the 1080ti is broken.

I think he's already replaced the GPU and it's working for him.

Fermi44 only mentioned that he replaced his card with another, he did not specify whether it was a 1080Ti or not. People commonly swap with a backup card or a friend's card for troubleshooting their system. I was just being diligent to ensure that all his needs are taken care of. But I do appreciate your concerns.

Sorry my english. What I mean is that I went to the shop to make an RMA with my GTX 1080TI SC2 GPU and it´s take me about 5 minutes to do.

And now, my new card works perfectly. That is, the first card was broken.

So you basically just exchanged the card for a new one?
