Please help cannot get OC to stick without throttling.

Right I'm back, OOh i forgot to say that that 5Ghz constant on the SSD was on bios version 1.07.
Onto the test, with the M.2 & no changes in setup all i did was swap boot device & as I'm typing this my CPU freq is fluctuating between 4.3 & 5Ghz so it must have some negative side effects, unless the M.2 drive i have is just crap (Sandisk SD7SN3Q256G1002) it was a freebie from and unwanted scrap Notebook.
 
It would be cool if someone else can confirm this by testing this out on the same platform

strange, that sandisk m.2 is sata based so no speed increase but it does seem to be messing with the cpu. i would just stick with the samsung drive for now until you get a nvme based m.2.

drive should have no influence. I never seen anything like it, still been using just the PNY M.2. 
I did think the FTW K undervolts alittle better though and control, I never got any stop codes or restarts at all. a few others you will get occasional error stop below 1.248v.
 
Id just leave it 4.7ghz and get into the 60-68c on the loop and Haswell block...fine with me. 
Try to convince me to get that blocked 1080 man.

I have a corsair nvme m.2 and was curious about your final bios settings. I am having an issue of my own, but don't want to jam up your post with it. Was just curious if you could post some screenshots of your final bios setup? Thank you.

With the warmer weather or something else I don't know...stuff is HOTT on the ftwk man...a passmark pass gets hot at only 4.7ghz and undervolted with the EK block and MX4...75-76c....Are some of the chips thattt bad man?...couple others it wasn't running that hot...I guess 5ghz would be at 85-90c...

Yeah I guess it's Normal Pretty much..Unfortunately. That last chip I delidded and tried a few tims and yeah was better but then it died like a month later....And as well it's Summer and Nice Heat wave 85-90degrees out, but I do have Ac running though....It's just how they are really.... 
 
And I got a Nicer Different pump too...it's still hot...
 
at least no Memory Problems...XMP 3200mhz works just fine..but I guess the Hynix kit kinda sucks and was already pushed. I can't really get it to OC at all....I know some of the Samsung kits will.
 
Not Complaining much man, still plenty and pretty Nice at that.

Never Mind I fixed it kinda...I was playing around with the EK Block cleaning it out and tried like taking a few pieces out of it...And Put back on whatever Copper Haswell Block and Lapped the Base real good. Some of that Thermal grizzly stuff etc...dropped 8-10c on loads over that other block and mx4....

It's always Temps man, Doubt RFI could do that or be an issue....And I swear it's Doggier 7700k's/Chips...That first chip I had was an Excellent one, that one did do 4.9ghz/5ghz at 1.3-1.35v...these last couple chips it's taking 1.35-1.4v to get it all more stable and that's much harder to cool and really can't even with the Loop wants to go to 85-90c...
 
And I don't know been holding off on the FTWK. Still got the Supermicro and that's Probably about One of the best Quality and Nuke Power 6 phase there is.
 
It's as Usual dude Like 80% of the chips should just leave it alone and go to 4.8ghz tops and undervolt slightly or no vcore increase..It will be stable.
