Hello all! Back when the DG-87 came out I bought one immediately! Unfortunately it sat in my office collecting dust for a few years! I had no idea what build I wanted to put into it and since I build custom cases, this case just sat!

So, a few weeks ago as I was scanning Offer Up I came across an older build in this huge Mountain Mods case with pedestal! I took a closer look at the pictures and sure enough it was an EVGA SR-2 motherboard with 48gb of ram! I couldn't tell what GPU's they were at the time until I got it home, but it was all liquid cooled. So I purchased it from the guy and he said it's his brothers old build and that it's been sitting in his garage for a few years.

So I got it home and took a few pics of what it looked like:

And here's what came out of the case:

  • EVGA SR-2
  • Two EVGA GTX 580 FTW Hydro Copper 2's
  • 48gb Patriot Sector 7 DDR3 1333 Ram
  • Corsair AX1200
  • 2 x 360 Rads
  • Koolance Dual Bay Dual PMP-450 Pump Reservoir with fittings
  • Koolance CPU Blocks
  • 5 Bay Hot Swap HD
  • 2 x Fan Controllers
  • 29 120mm Fans
  • 2 Xenon E5620 which have been swapped out with a pair of X5690's
  • And the huge MM Case
  • Total Cost: $250.00 to the seller! What a deal!!!!

I was just excited to be able to play around with this older powerhouse! And above all, be able to use my DG-87! I cleaned everything up and tested everything and it all worked great!!! I did not end up using the Hydro Coppers, but may later as I have two EVGA GTX 690's being installed, with the 2nd on it's way from Ebay! I used two Thermaltake Water 3.0 for cooling the CPU's right now, but will return to the blocks and regular water cooling everything when time permits. I still need PSU extensions, tubing, reservoirs for the pumps, and perhaps a 1600w PSU.

Here's where I am at so far and having fun!
