Hello
Pretty sure my evga 780 ti SC is now dead. System wouldn't boot, i could hear my evga supernova 1000 p2 psu click when i pressed the power button but nothing happened, no fans spin, nada. Assuming that's some kind of safety feature on the psu.
Pulled the card out, removed the cooler and checked all over for any possible shorts, don't see any.
If i remove all power from the card but leave it plugged into the m/b with the dvi cable connected to it, press the power, the system will turn on and then i'll get a message onscreen telling me to connect the PCI-E power cables to the card. I shutdown and do just that, no boot.
If i remove the 6pin power cable and power on, the systems turn on and boots into windows(i can hear loading screen) but i have no display.
Remove the 8pin and leave the 6pin in, system won't power on.
It's dead right? Can't think of what else i can try.. With the card out of the system, display hooked up to the onboard video, the system works fine.
Thanks,
Allan
