About a week ago, NVIDIA released the latest GeForce Experience. It supports creating your own animated GIFs with annotations.
 

To make a GIF with text, press Alt+Z to open the GeForce Experience overlay, enter the Gallery, find a NVIDIA Highlights video clip, open it, select Animated GIF as the Format for Facebook, Google Photos or Weibo, then click the “Add Text” button on the upper right.

I always install it and use it to notify me of the latest drivers. Rarely, I use it to record gameplay. I really don't believe it's a problem at all, like some do.

 
Have to admit, that's a neat feature. Still not installing GFE though.

I'd recommend installing Just the basic Nvidia driver & PhysX, First
 
Hey if your PC is stable after testing; by all means install GFE if you want.  If you system then becomes unstable; you'll know why
