Is it just me or did we lose almost all parameters in the HW monitor screen except the basics?
I have about 5 parameters with graphs when there used to be a whole bunch.
Is there a setting now that I am missing?

You may run into a problem where the GPU and System dropdowns at the top of HWM (Hardware Monitor) are not showing..This is a known issue.

Solution: Disable "Start Minimized" in Precision XOC's General Settings tab, Click "OK", then close and open Precision XOC again..OR..When HWM is open, resize and position the HWM beside (or somewhere outside of) the Precision GUI, then click in a blank area of the Precision GUI to bring it into the foreground..Then the GPU and System dropdowns at the top of HWM will be shown.

Then select from the lists of parameters what you want shown (or not) in HWM..Then you can choose to display the parameters in OSD, Tray and/or Keyboard LCD..Then close and open Precision again so the settings stick.

More better now?

First option worked, disable start minimized and re-open.  Second method did not work.  drop down menus flashed but disappeared immediately.
Always fun finding out which perfectly functioning feature is now broken in new XOC releases...
At least LED sync doesn't constantly force itself into existence anymore.

Cool

But both those options work for me here with versions 6.2.6 and .7 and the Betas in between.

PXOC = Riddled with bugs..Usually a fix/workaround for most of them though.

I usually ignore the updates for some time once I get a version that works for me.  Today I was feeling lucky and updated.

Testing software is an adventure
so when you come to a fork in the road always remember to pick up the fork.

Sliding the different windows over each other worked on the last release to see the system settings.

Not an issue here with Precision XOC in the background, but it is a pascal GPU and I'm running 382.05 WHQL (old drivers).
I also run Windows 7, I don't know for Windows 10.

EVGA has removed the option to launch a profile on boot with the new update or am I blind?

Apply your Profile..Then in the General tab of the Settings, enable 'Apply previous settings on load' and 'Start With OS'..Click OK..Then close Precision and open it again without restarting your PC..Should be good then.

Some settings/profiles won't stick unless Precision is manually closed after making changes.

I don't want to start PXOC with the OS, I just want to load the profile.

I don't want to do that as I don't want PXOC to start on boot, how is that hard to understand?

It worked in previous versions of this software.

Guess I'll just have to use Afterburner then as this is a dealbreaker.

If someone still experiences problem with not saving options: 1. install program with administrative rights 2. go to installation folder and make sure, that PXSW10_x64 , PrecisionXServer , PrecisionX_x64 starts with administrator attribute too...
went back to 6.3...

ps but it doesn't remember update setting - if even is chosen  "never", every start it ignores and goes to internet for checking update, only firewall block solves

Got my new build all put together. Installed xoc 6.2.7 and noticed that the auto dual fans on the software only one loads the other one I have to turn on manually and hit apply every single time. Going to try to remove software and reinstall to see if that fixes it

It crashes my PC about every 1-2 days.  PC runs 24/7 Folding @ Home and I finally found the online crash reading program and every dump shows it coming from this version of precision X.  I am going to try 6.1.16 which was my most stable one for a long time and see how it goes.

As in a bluescreen?

Because ever since I upgraded to a 1080Ti FTW3 in combination with several Precision XOC versions I had a few BSODs when I (rarily) left the PC running in idle for more than a day.
But I couldn't entirely pinpoint whether this is the new GPU and/or in combination with Nvidia drivers (382.05 WHQL ever since), or Precision XOC.
Last few times I decided to close Precision XOC when leaving the PC idling for more than a day and I don't recall any bluescreens happening.

If it really is Precision XOC causing BSODs running a PC for a longer period of time then this isn't very ideal and should be looked into.

I uploaded the mini-dump to the crash debugger and it was Precision X being the file causing the crash

Well that means EVGA has some investigating to do because this is certainly unwanted behaviour.
A lot of people leave their rigs running for days or weeks without rebooting or shutting them down.

Luckily I'm not too much affected since I don't really do this much.

Hello cheers from Venezuela,  i'm having some problems when testing the OC SCAN, it gave me 3 options Basic, Linear, Manual it seems that i can only run the Manual version OC Scan
The thing is, EVGA precision XOC 627 seems to hang-crash after doing the test for 5minutes, with this error:
My system: Ryzen 5 1600, ram patriot 2x4(8gb) 3200, Mobo: Ab350 asrock fatality k4 gaming
GPU:  EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING, 06G-P4-6262-KR, 6GB GDDR5, ACX 3.0 & LED
Windows 10 1709
PS: also wanted to mention that i'm getting a terrible Coil-whine too, while playing old games such GRID 2007<-- only in the start menu my gpu start whining so ugly, it stops when i just alt-tab to Windows.

I recorded 13 seconds of the coil-whine:

Re: EVGA Precision XOC 6.2.7 Released 2018/06/19 05:56:59 (permalink)
Yesterday, I installed Nvidia GameReady Driver 398.11 and PXOC 6.2.7 (in both cases, I completely uninstalled the previous versions, remaining folders and registry entries - so it's definitely a clean install). The driver seems to work fine (i did not play anything yet) but PXOC is borked from the very beginning since I installed version 6.2.7 (the previous version 6.2.3 seemed to work flawlessly) - changes in settings are not saved and I can't disable PX Server service (PX Server service also causes PXOC to crash with an application error message whenever I shutdown or restart Windows 7).

To make the settings save properly, I tried the solution suggested on the first page of this topic: manually close PXOC after changing the settings -> after re-starting PXOC, the changes are lost again

And how the heck can I turn off the annoying PX Server services? - I don't want them running in any circumstances...

Coil whine is not a defect, you're just unlucky to have obtained a model which produces this.
The higher the framerate will be, the faster the capacitors will resonate and the higher pitched and louder the noise will become.

It doesn't mean there is any damage though, so don't be worried.
If you really can't stand it maybe EVGA can help you for a replacement.

Try running Precision XOC as administrator and try the 'workaround' for saving settings if you have UAC enabled.

Also do you mean services or processes?
I don't recall any services with such a name, however you can 'disable' the server processes by renaming the files and then starting Precision XOC.
Be advised that OSD needs these files for it to function, but it may solve other annoyances aswell as application crashes related to OSD hookings. (because some may crash if you close Precision XOC even though OSD is off)

PS: also wanted to mention that i'm getting a terrible Coil-whine too, while playing old games such GRID 2007<-- only in the start menu my gpu start whining so ugly, it stops when i just alt-tab to Windows.

I recorded 13 seconds of the coil-whine:

Coil whine is not a defect, you're just unlucky to have obtained a model which produces this.
The higher the framerate will be, the faster the capacitors will resonate and the higher pitched and louder the noise will become.

It doesn't mean there is any damage though, so don't be worried.
If you really can't stand it maybe EVGA can help you for a replacement.
------------------------------

Another thing is that, I wanted to know that is it normal to have a gpu temp of 35-36 on idle? using the nvidia profile power management to Optimal power?
I have a rear panel fan speed , top, and front, just 3.

Also, i noticed that i was having tearing effect on Youtube, and what i did was to set on Nvidia control Panel program settings selected Chrome, and set the vertical sync to Adaptive (half  refresh) and it improve alot.

Now my second question is, do i need Led Sync from Nvidia, in order to changes the color of my GTX 1060 acx 3.0? currently is like a light blue.

That temperature is perfectly fine, even more if your ambient room temperature is high and/or your case does not have a sidepanel fan but a window. (with fans off)

Normally this should not happen if you have Windows 7 with DWM activated or Windows 8/10.
This means the desktop is GPU-accelerated and V-sync/G-sync will be used preventing tearing.

I don't know why this would happen otherwise.

When I look at the product specifications for all type GTX1060 ACX 3.0 models there is no customizable LED colours, only white:

You may be able to turn off the LEDs using Nvidia's LED Visualizer when Precision XOC is set to use Nvidia LED Visualizer.
But since I do not own such card I don't know for sure, but I think you need to run the software to keep it turned off.

Hi All!
I am still on v6.2.3, after 4 & 5 had so many issues - is it worth updating yet? Sounds like there are no problems that would affect me...

OK I am having a weird issue with Destiny 2 locking up when traveling to Orbit or during some fade to black scenes. If I don't run Precision 6.2.7 I have none of these issues. This is on a 1080Ti FTW3 in stock config. Anyone else seeing this?
