SC-17 Keyboard light not coming on

So basically I have tried downloading new drivers for my model which is the 768-41-2633 and all I could find was Nvidia drivers and Bios, i cannot control the keyboard lighting using the PrecisionX mobile as adjusting the slider does nothing, has anyone come across such an issue and could you  help

    When you moved the slider did you hit apply?

    Yes I have, it seems to be much more than simply pressing FN+Light up/down even windows doesn't recognise having a lighting keyboard
