Please note: the speed of the fans will depend on whether you lay the laptop flat on a hard or soft surface or whether you elevate it with some sort of cooling mat or spacer. Additionally, the speed of the fan will depend on how plugged up with dust/hair the fan intake grill and heatsink are. The more plugged up the heatsink and intake is or the more you lay the laptop close to the bottom surface, the faster the fan speed will be. Even at higher altitudes the fan will spin faster.
If your seems to be spinning fast, I would recommend that you turn off your laptop and blow the heatsink and fan out backwards from its normal airflow direction.
