So I already emailed tech support, it's taking forever to get a response, maybe someone on here can help me. I'm getting the error 43 on my graphics card, I reinstall with the latest 1060 drivers, I first used the 397.55 hotfix, but kept getting stuck at a black bootscreen (keyboard comes on, but not the screen). Tried the restart button underneath a bunch. Finally got it started, realized they released another driver this morning (397.93) but still nothing is working.

Edit : Just to clarify, the 397.93 install appeared to work, but the error 43 is still there. Under device manager, the driver is dated as the 5/22, and the version is listed as "24.21.13.9793," but the whole screen is garbled and nearly impossible to use.

Please help, this laptop isn't even a week old, and I've barely been able to use it because of these issues.

Things I would try to do to fix the issue...

#1 Reflash the video cards vbios.
#2 Use DDU to clean out your old video drivers. Do not reinstall your drivers after performing this step. Do step #3 after using ddu.

#3 Delete video guid's using regedit. Click the start button and type regedit and hit enter. For windows 8/10 hit the windows key + r and type in regedit and hit enter. Navigate to...
    - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video (highlight the Video key and press the delete key.)
NOTE: When deleting the video key you will be prompted with an error saying "Error deleting key, Cannot delete Video: Error while deleting key." Just ignore the error and select OK, all keys within the Video key will be deleted except for ones that cannot be deleted. Restart pc after deleting the guid's.

#4 Download & save the most recent graphics driver to your desktop. You can find the most recent graphics driver here. Run the graphics installer located on your desktop once the download is complete. Select custom advanced install, under custom installation options uncheck all options except graphics driver & physx system software, if you have a 3D capable monitor and would like to use 3D at some point please select both 3D options, check mark perform clean install, then click next to install the driver, reboot when asked.

If you're still having issues at this point I would suggest doing a clean install of windows. If a clean install of windows doesn't fix the issue I would recommend sending the laptop in for service.

Thanks for the help, how do I flash the vbios, with nflash?

I'll try your suggestions, but I'm thinking it's hardware, I already did a clean install of windows last night. Before the computer quit working, I did nothing except install firefox, a bit of surfing, and about 2 hours of skyrim.

Yep, you'll need to use nvflash to reflash the card. To reflash with nvflash you'll need a copy of the card's vbios.

    OR

You could call evga tech support and ask them to assist you with reflashing your cards vbios. Tell them you suspect the card's vbios is corrupted as you're getting a code 43 error in device manager.

What is the current vbios version of your card? You can use gpu-z to see the version number.

According to gpu-z it's 86.06.4e.00.13 ... is that the most up to date? Google isn't much help in this case, I'm not even sure which vbios to flash it with ...

I can't find that vbios anywhere. Looks like you'll need to contact tech support.
