Long story short, I've noticed every once in a while that it looks like the temp sensors get "stuck" ... the fix action is to close Precision XOC and then open it back up and then the temp sensors show the true temp.  For example, it looked like my GPU was at 45 degrees at idle ... then I close and open XOC and now it shows 31 degrees (which is normal).  I've noticed this on XOC 6.2.3 and 6.2.7.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?  It doesn't happen all the time ... just every once in a while.  I'll start paying more attention to the fan speeds to see if it's just a display issue or if it is affecting iCX cooling.

For reference, I've got a EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid.

As far as I know I have not yet experienced this with Precision XOC 6.2.3/6.2.7 and a FTW3.

Are you running any other programs that can monitor any sensors? Motherboard utilities, AIO software...etc...etc...

HeavyHemi, I'm not running any other monitoring programs ... just XOC with its built in HW Monitoring.

squall-lionheart, I'm running Nvidia driver ver 397.64 (will share that I'm pretty sure that I saw this with version 391.35 as well).

Also, please note that when I upgrade drivers I always uninstall XOC, delete EVGA folders, do DDU uninstall driver from safe mode, and then install Driver (with clean installation, driver & PhysX only) and install XOC back.

I wish I could be more help with Precision...but I quit using it because since the split from Unwinder, it has never been reliable. Unfortunately EVGA has made the decision to tie some hardware functionality of some of their models to their software. I am not a fan.

i'd avoid using prevision or afterburner on those drivers at the present time, nvidia has some bsod kinks to work out....

First image shows "stuck sensor temps" ... notice the sensors at ~45 degrees.

Second image taken immediately after just shutting down and restarting XOC, shows actual temps in the 30's.

Does GPU-Z read the temperature sensor normally?

(knock on wood) ... so far, I've had zero BSOD issues with Nvidia drivers so far ... (knock on wood again) ... for that matter, zero BSOD issues for any reason
