I purchased an EVGA X99 FTW off eBay with pre-production proto-rev 03 printed on the side of the socket.  If anyone could tell me what it means and if it affects features/CPU support I would greatly appreciate it!

    Can you take a picture? Send a picture with the serial number to EVGA. If it was a prototype, it most likely shouldn’t have been sold.

    What store or person did you buy it from?

     Sorry if the socket bar in partially in the way.  I currently have a 5820K installed with a 212 Hyper.
     
    The person I bought it from was just a regular eBay seller.  I asked them and even he/she didn't know it was a per-production model.  They had been running it all along with no problems.  I've stress tested my 5820K on it and it works perfectly fine.
     
    How do I give my information to EVGA?  Do they have an email I can contact?

    This is the CPU socket, not from EVGA, so it may have been an error on the production line. It should be fine but if you are worried we can swap it for you (if we have stock on it, need to check). If so send me a mail, jacobf@evga.com

    I think you are right.  Looking at the official pictures on the product page it even has the exact same text.  It doesn't appear on other similar product pages either like the X99 FTW K.
