Hi, a friend of mine is selling a 1080ti ftw3 HYBRID and i would really like to buy it to match it with my 1080ti KINGPIN but before i buy it i need to make sure that they both can be slied together, i already have a sli bridge pro, its a asus 3 slot and the mobo im using is a evga Z270 FTWK.
 
I would like to place the ftw3 on the first gpu slot and place the kingpin on the second slot so the ftw3 doesnt blow its heat on the kingpin and the kingpin would only blow its heat on the bottom of the case, to me it seems like a good heat management. About my case, im using a cooler master cosmos 2 ultra tower so im not worried for the space at all.
 
Side question: Any idea what would be the less noisy and heaty between a ftw3 hybrid and a sc2 hybrid?

Hello Furn-le-gamer! Unfortunately, a 1080Ti Kingpin and a FTW3 are not SLI compatible with a solid bridge as they use two completely different PCBs. The Kingpin is 5.618in wide but the FTW3 is only 5.064in wide, so a solid bridge will not physically fit onto both cards. I hope this information clarifies things for you. You posted the FTW DT instead of the FTW3 Hybrid version which is a different height as the EVGA rep noted

The FTW3, FTW3 DT, FTW3 Hybrid use the same pcb. The only difference is the shroud & what is noted in post #5.
 

Okay? Then EVGA should correct the web page for the product would seem to be the right answer instead of the confusion of posting a different GPU then needing to explain why it's the same...ya know?

Sorry, I should have clarified. The FTW3 Hybrid uses a narrower PCB, which would not match up with the 1080Ti Kingpin. Since he mentioned his friend was selling a FTW3 Hybrid, those were the specs I was looking at.

But you are correct that the FTW3 Hybrid uses the same PCB as the air-cooled FTW3. I will look into making sure the specs sheets are updated.

So, the FTW HYBRID cannot be matched with a KINGPIN BUT, can a FTW with 3 FAN match with my KINGPIN? Because i could buy another KINGPIN but they are litteraly unfindable(let alone the brand new ones) so i decided to look for a 3 fan FTW. So if they can be matched, all the heat that those cards will produce wont be dangerous for the health of the gpu?

Well,  since you're spending that much money on GPU's I'd hope you have also invested in nice large case with plenty of space and mounts for fans. I used to run 3-Way SLI in an ANTEC 900...so with some planning regarding airflow, temps are manageable.  They are designed to run all day at ~80C.

Also keep in mind SLI works better in some games then others. I would check the games you want to play to see how they stack up with SLI support.
