Hi everyone, i've been having this problem for a couple of weeks now. The PC will run fine for about an hour or so, but at random times it will shut down without BSOD and the only error i can find is Kernel 41 (63). Reboots happen during gaming or just being idle, even in BIOS... I've updated everything, reinstalled windows, checked cables, but nothing seems to work. The PC is build January 2017, so all parts are as good as new. ECO mode was turned ON, but i turned that off now, don't know if that has any influence? I will have to wait if reboots still happen now. Specs: MBO: MSI Z170a Krait 3x CPU: I7 6700K GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G2

It could definitely be the psu. Is your system overclocked?

Then the issue is most likely coming from the psu, gpu or ram.

Swapped RAM, still rebooting. GPU is probably not at fault since reboots are also happening while being in BIOS. But a year old PSU already being faulty? Seems weird to me. (that's why i'm trying to fix everything before replacing the PSU).

Weird thing is i also checked voltages, and everything seems fine. No dips or weird fluctuations.

Hardware can go bad at anytime though.

Was reading something about eco mode. I should explain that the fan position from the PSU is down. Could the reboots be happening because of heat being trapped at the top of the PSU? I have a NZXT H440 Case and this was the best way to mount the PSU, but now i begin to think this was my problem all along... Just been on for an hour, no reboots yet...

Okay, since i switched ECO mode to ''off'' i had nothing happening... Trying to stress the system by gaming on ultra, using all kinds of benchmarks, but no reboots... It's only been 3 hours, but still, i've had reboots all week almost every 30 minutes. Couldn't find much about ECO mode causing random reboots, maybe something to look into?

Looks like you found the issue. Psu was getting hot.

Could that seriously have been the issue? As a final solution i reinstalled Windows before switching to non ECO, and now ofcourse all my presets are gone, but could it be this easy?

I don't know how hot PSU could cause something like that. Should be really hot or power supplies become so gently. Before 15-16 years most of my friends and me had 500-550W power supplies. I didn't know anyone who had stronger... Most of time our cases were so hot that you felt heat eradiate only if you walk near case. Power supplies stay on top of case and you couldn't touch them, cold drink would become not worm, hot. Very often power supplies were full of dusty and many times fans didn't worked at all. But very rear we had some problems, even when PSU die, service fix them very fast and they worked again. Now 300-400-500 euro PSU you need to treat them like little baby. Is it hungry, is everything OK, no dust, it's not hot, little warm you enable fan fast... what happen with hardware? I know sometimes made them people weight 90-100-110 kg, now made them people like Bruce Lee, 45-55kg. Hahaaaaa... Maybe that somehow influence on number of issue or problems.

If eco mode is causing the issue contact EVGA as an RMA might be needed.
