Does anyone happen to know if the *gorgeous* copper heatsink from a GTX 980 ti classified K|ngp|n would fit on a GTX 780 ti classified K|ngp|n?

I currently have a GTX 780 ti kpe in my arsenal, it’s running non-overclocked with the original heatsink/cooler.

Now i wonder if a heatsink from a 980 ti kpe would fit on it. Anyone happen to know the answer to this question?

Thanks in advance ✌🏻

I can't say for sure, I know EKWB waterblock fit for both cards.
You are rights, Copper heatsink look much better, whole cooler is better on GTX980Ti K|NGP|N because it's black.
I hope only some nice offer will show up for GTX1080Ti K|NGP|N HydroCopper when new series show up.

GTX780Ti K|NGP|N Classified was so dominat over reference version of GTX780Ti, even reference GTX980.
Now I look some video clips where people who now buy GTX780Ti reference are satisfied how she still work good in older games.
2013/2014/2015. But when I look their performance and scores they are so much below mine because my card is so much overclocked by EVGA and really give significant performance increase.
If you have 1750 instead 1500 score on same chip than that's significant improvement compare to total power of GK110.

I would be happiest to find again with new generation or GTX1080Ti K|NGP|N version and play games on fabric settings few years.
But we still don't know overclocking performance of new NVIDIA series, actually we don't know almost nothing.

But now 8GB video memory is minimum.
GTX780Ti was OK for 1080p. Now I need card for 4K.

I agree that for right now the 4K is what to aim for in a video card. It will be interesting to see what the next generation brings. As for moving the cooler it would be interesting but mostly for older games.

4K resolution will not be much bigger impact on graphic card performance compare to 1080p x8MSAA or x4MSAA.
If you disable 4K because higher resolution and more pixels filters are not necessary, or minimum will be enough for nice gaming experience.
But I can't afford any of new "gaming" features for monitors. They are overpriced compare to normal 4K 60Hz big panels.
LG 32UD99-W is cool for me.
    • 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS
    • HDR 10
    • DCI-P3 95% (CIE 1976) Color Gamut
    • HDCP 2.2 Compatible
    • Pivot & Height Adjustable Stand

I definitely don't need 43" but must be bigger than 27" I now have 24".
If he now cost 890$, In November will cost 790$ and that's "acceptable".
Paying 2000$ for gaming feature, no way. First because I have barelly money to support 60Hz on 4K, and I don't have money for TITAN Volta 2 way SLI to keep constant 120fps on 4K.
Even with them will be short for fps somewhere.
