How many water blocks can a Swiftech MCP655-B pump handle?

I have a Swiftech MCP655-B pump and I'm wondering if it can handle 1 cpu block and 4 gpu blocks running through 1 rad?

    It's a Laing D5 pump, which Swiftech has just put their name on. People have the Laing D5 pump under several different manufacture names and was hoping I could get some real world experience from members here.

    Nibbler in my signature only has 3 GPU, CPU going through 2 radiators with no issues; my hoses are 1/2 inch ID.
     
    As long as that radiator has the btu capacity it should work fine

    Alright, that's good info. I'm using 1/2" ID tubing.
     
    Not using a pump top, but my pump is mounted directly to a XSPC D5 Dual Bay Reservoir V2.
     
    I am thinking about using these Bitspower Aqua Link fittings in a serial setup for the video cards, so that would be 3 of them. I don't see any specs for the ID, but they look a bit smaller on the ID then 1/2" to me.
     
    The video card block are the EVGA 400-HC-5599-B1 blocks, 4 of them.
     
    The cpu block is a Swiftech Apogee HD block.
     
    The rad is the XSPC EX360 Crossflow Radiator V2.
     
    I don't see a flow or pressure issue with this combination, but I don't see a btu capacity on the rad?

    I was hoping your res. had a flow indicator. I have run 2 cards and CPU block with 2 rads, with that pump. It's actually pretty powerful, I wouldn't hesitate to use for a multi block system. I'm using a EK res. that has the little wheel to indicate flow. 
     
    There used to be a couple great sources Skinnylabs[ it seems to be caput] and Martins Liquid lab. CoolGTX's thread is a great resource also. There is a flow rate estimator that should give you and idea. It is a bit old. Hope it helps.

    Your "pump top" is built into the reservoir housing
     
    Serial is more restrictive as it increases per GPU block
     
     
    If your planning on OC your Rig one 360 Rad will Not get the job done
     
    Rule of thumb for 35 - 45 mm thick radiator 1 section of 120mm per block plus 1 additional
     
    So with 5 blocks (4 GPU & 1 CPU) you should look for a bigger radiator or additional radiators
     
    Moving to 140mm size will increase area and cooling, if it will fit in your case
     
    120mm X 360mm = 43200 sq mm of area
     
    140mm X 420mm = 58800 sq mm of area
     
    Fins per inch, thickness, size and material all play into heat dissipation; along with fans and pump flow rate
     
    Watts to BTU per hour conversion
     
    1 Watt = 3.412141 BTUs per Hour

    The reservoir doesn't seem to affect the pump flow rate as the pump flows 1200 LPH whether mounted to the reservoir or not.
     
    I do have a Coolgate Triple 140mm Ultimate Heat Exchanger Radiator that fits in my case just fine.
     
    I use a Xigmatek Elysium case.

    I like the D5 pumps for longevity, quite operation, and for me no leaks in 7 years or so. Here is my loop for you to compare: Two D5's in an EK dual mount with reservoir - 420 rad 60mm thick - cpu 1 - cpu 2 - full mobo water block - gpu water block 1 - gpu water block 2 - 280 rad also 60mm thick linked with 1/2" ID hose. One pump was enough but I added the second one just to make the loop flow effortlessly and for redundancy in case one pump breaks. This system was originally built for GTX 580 4 way sli.
     
    You should be ok with what you have. If you want to build it once then I would add another 240 rad and add the second pump if you can.  Let us know how it turned out.
