    1. Open hardware monitor (HWM button).
    2. Click on purple 'System' button in hardware monitor.
    3. Enable 'Framerate'.
    4. Click on 'OSD' button in hardware monitor for framerate graph to enable for on-screen-display.
    5. Close hardware monitor.
    6. Click on 'OSD' button in Precision XOC to enable on-screen-display for ingame.
    Should display framerate ingame now.

You may run into a problem where the GPU and System dropdowns at the top of HWM (Hardware Monitor) are not showing..This is a known issue.

Solution: Disable "Start Minimized" in Precision XOC's General Settings tab if it is enabled, then close and then open Precision XOC again..OR..When HWM is open, click in a blank area of the Precision XOC GUI to bring it into the foreground..Click the little gear icon at the bottom-right of Precision to open the Settings.

Then open the System dropdown at the top of HWM where you can enable Framerate monitoring and other items..Then click the Framerate "OSD" button so that it's lit, which enables the item to be shown on-screen..The "KB" button enables the item to be shown on keyboards with LCD dislay and the "TRAY" button puts the item in the System Tray (bottom-right of Taskbar, near the clock).

After making any changes in HWM (or Precision settings), close Precision, then open it again or the settings may not remain when Precision runs again after a startup or reboot.

On-screen Display may not show up in some games..This is also a known issue.

You can also re-size the HW monitor screen to bring up the GPU and System tabs to select what is monitored.

As for OSD in game, I play the following games and OSD doesn't work in any of them:

    BF3
    BF4
    R6
    GRW

Not sure why, some of them have been out years and are hardly new, so not sure what the problem is.

Doesn't work if Precision XOC is minimized.
It appears it doesn't disappear if Precision XOC is started with the setting 'Start with OS' disabled.

Only when "Start Minimized" in the General Settings is disabled will the GPU and System dropdowns in the HWM show, but then some people will (and have) complain about the loading screen showing up..Otherwise, clicking anywhere in a blank area of the Precision GUI to bring it to the foreground while the HWM is open is neccessary when "Start Minimized" is enabled..Nothing else makes any difference here.

Close Precision XOC for changes to be written to the config and become effective.

EVGA Precision on-screen display doesn't work with all games..Try MSI Afterburner.

    Yes evga software is atrocious.

Use GeForce Experience overlay and enable the FPS counter. Press Alt + Z to bring up the overlay once you're in the game. You don't have to download additional software.
