I recently got another SuperNova 850 G2 while waiting for my other to come back from an RMA and unfortunately it is EXTREMELY loud. I've been trying to find out what caused all the sound from my PC during the last 2 weeks and apparently the PSU makes at least 60% of all the noise. If I put it in ECO mode the computer goes near silent, but if I keep it in ECO mode the PSU gets scorching hot, which feels unpleasant. This is the 2nd product from EVGA I've had noise issues with, the other being a GTX 1080 FTW.
 
Is this PSU supposed to be really loud?

Both, I'm afraid. It's whistling and feels like it's running on 3k RPM.

Fractal Design Define R6 TG. Airflow is fine, the PSU is really cold while the fan is running without ECO mode. Turning it off for an hour, and then turning it on results in really hot air blowing out. The system has not crashed, so I don't know if it's actually that hot or me being over sensitive. Either way the noise the fan makes is insane. It's even louder than my NH-D15 @ 1500 RPM. 
 
Should I just leave it on ECO mode and hope that it doesn't fry itself?
 
EDIT: Might as well mention that I get the same results even without the air filter on the bottom.
