Hi all,

So I have a 43 code problem on my video card, I tested everything that there is internet and I did not get results, now I want to test a different bios to see what happens.

In the site techpowerup I found 3 but they are of the model SSC, mine is only SC, and also only owns a cooller,

Name: EVGA GeForce GTX 960 2GB SC GAMING

Current bios: 84.06.14.00.64

Someone who owns this prepaid card who has purchased the latest possible, could send it on the techpowerup site for me to download.

I thank you in advance!

Hello Nethuzo

Maybe this can help the code 43.

Hello Devgas,

I thank you for your suggestion but i already tried these solutions and none worked, i saw in the GeForce forum that a person who had the same problem, made a flash of bios and managed to fix this code error 43, now only me i have to try this to see if can reverse this error.

It maybe your card vram faulty but Do not try update VBIOS yet you may damage your graphic card if you do so it risk best leave it!
If you still under Warranty then do RMA?

Or there other forum who did fix his card working well! here >GTX 780 Ti - windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (code 43)

Upto you and I feel best for you to RMA if you are still understand warranty?

Unfortunately unless you have already installed a custom BIOS and want to go back to the original there is a near-0 chance that a BIOS update of your GPU will resolve your issue. We have had several customers e-mail recently asking the same question, and it is always the same. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the suggestion, the first thing I checked after trying the basic solutions to make sure the problem was not the rest of the pc, was to look at the warranty to try an RMA, but for my bad luck the board was already out of warranty to 2 months.

No its a custom build, the specs are:
CPU: i5-4440
MB: Z97mplus
RAM: 8 Gb (2x4) 1600mhz Corsair Vegence
HD: 2x500 Gb Seagate Barracuda
PSU: Corsair CX 600w
I've tested everything you can find about code 43 and a few more things that had nothing to do with code 43.

I had never done a flash of a biosmod, not even a software overclock.

Yes, I tested it on my old prebuild that has a 650Ti running perfectly, and code 43 persists.

Oh thank you very much Sajin!

I did not check the "unverified" tab, in fact I did not even notice that tab, I went straight to "Nvidia" but also this is strange, because all the bios available for the model of my card are still in "unverified" they were posted around 2015/16, but anyway the bios re-flash of the same version worked, first I uninstalled the driver with ddu and rebooted, then I did the bios flash and rebooted and checked a hardware change in the device manager and nothing happened, so I installed the driver (v391.35) and BAAM worked, thank you again Sajin for posting the link to the bios, even most of it being mine for making a silly mistake, and also a lot thank you to everyone who tried to help,
I will leave 2 links below so that it may serve some help to future people who can come to face this same code 43, the first where to some reports about solutions of code 43, and the second is post of the person who managed to fix the code 43 with bios flash,

see with this   '' Yes, I tested it on my old prebuild that has a 650Ti running perfectly, and code 43 persists. ''   that 900 series card still may not work  a lot of prebuilts dot support over a 600 series   and darn lucky if a 700 like a 750 ti  ..   [due to proprietary  motherboard bios  / hp bios , dell bios may not support a lot of aftermarket cards  unless they updated the bios to do so  like they had to with the dell xps 8700  it would not accept a 900 series  until dell  gave a new bios for it ]

nothing called out from here  z97 should be plug and play woth a 900 series anyway   heck this z87 was on first release bios [??]

are you using that malware service called windows 10 ??   lot of 43's with NVidia cards  around  from it .  NVidia seems to struggle since win 10 released

thing is if you tested in a computer with a later 900 series card all ready running in it to see then ???  , but testing in a prebuilt ???

in the end looks like another win-10 thing  and atleast you got it resolved  [windows 10 ..lol.. what a joke  ]\

Yes I just tested it on my prebuild, and yes I was using the malware called windows 10, but first I did a clean installation code 43 persists, then I went back to windows 8 code 43 persists too, but from here I stayed on windows 8 when I did the bios flash, I did not describe how the code 43 came up so I will describe now just to keep logged in, code 43 appeared when I called the pc the next day without making absolutely no changes on the pc it just came up, so I reinstalled the same driver that was installed and returned to normal, this occurred for 3 days reinstalling the same or previous driver, until this does not work anymore, then a new driver came out and I installed it and it worked for a week and a half, that was the limit even installing new drivers code 43 persisted. Now I've turned off the pc twice and no code signal 43, windows 10 will not be back so soon for it.
Thanks for your attention trying to solve my problem with code 43,
Stay well and see you ...

One more thing, taking advantage of the fact that you have a lot of hardware knowledge, I'm looking forward to putting my 650Ti dedicated to physx, I heard that if the dedicated physx board is lower than the main board it will cause performance loss, that 650Ti might cause performance loss. ?
it is not absurdly inferior but what do you think would have gained performance?
Thanks in advance!

No need to guess. Test and see for yourself. Use the pla benchmark for testing. Get a fps score with just the 960 then add in the 650 ti as a dedicated physx card and rerun the test to see the difference in fps. Make sure PhysX is set to highest setting inside the pla benchmark.

I have a gtc580 as dedicated physx for my titan x, and I saw an increase in performance after putting it in.
I didnt run any tests, just games.
But, I do get some weird physics in some games now though, like leaves or books or ammo that should be on the ground, or a table, all of a sudden they are floating about 1 foot above the surface they should be on.
It doesnt bother me though  it actually makes me laugh.
Glad you got your issue sorted out though. I had heard code 43 was a hardware failure from evga themselves. Glad to see its not, or that your card has recovered somehow from it.

Most games do not support Physx. I would recommend that you ensure that the games you play support Physx prior to making a decision. I have seen many times where people claim that a dedicated Physx card caused an improvement, yet they admitted that they never tested using accurate measurements and uncovered that their testing was in a game which doesn't even support Physx. Often times it is a placebo.

Okay, I'm going to take the test, it's the best way to know if it will
have gained in performance from my hardware.

Exactly, something like that might have happened.

and thank you to those who left your feedback on physx.

Thank you guys and be well...
