SR-2 freezes with large downloads and uploads

I originally thought my issue with computer freezing was with steam while trying to download large game files. I have 200mps and steam utilizes it showing around 22-25MBps download speeds. After a minute or so computer freezes and I have to do a hard restart. I limited the download speed to 10MBps, then 5, then 1, but still freezes. So I just download them on another computer, but when I try to transfer from the other computer, it freezes as well. Also trying to rip a bluray to a network drive share causes it to freeze. It was uploading at 325mbps at the time of the last freeze. Everything else has been stable, overclock values set to default, using Windows 10 2016 LTSB. Has anyone experienced this and found a fix or have a recommendation for a new ethernet card?

    So your hdd's/ssd's, cpu & ram all pass stress testing without any errors?

    I'm thinking aging hard drives myself, especially if they are platter drives. Had this problem before switching to SSD's only. Seagates were the worst, Western Digital was the most reliable. I still have a pair of Crucial M4 SSD that are 6 years old that are still going strong; Granted they are only aux drives for data storage. 
     
    Could also be a driver issue. Ever since Windows did it's last major update, once a week my NIC card looses connection. I bring up the troubleshooter program and it resets the  card; internet comes back without re-booting. Never happened with the previous versions. Same thing happened with my Windows 10 Surface tablet. I ended up downloading a driver for a higher model Surface and the problem quit. I think I'll try the same with my EVGA board.

    Install win 7 on a
    Drive and test your network.

    2x EVGA SR-2 with X5690, 48/96GB RAM.
    1x intel Platinum 48core system with 9GPUS, 192GB ram all cpus\gpus watercooled 
    2x AMDThreadripper builds with 48GB ram,nvme raid.

    Hard drives are good. I have 6 wd red drives that I moved to another computer and replaced with two wd black. I also removed them and just used my Samsung 840 pro. Cloned drive to a Samsung 850 Evo and problem still persist with no other drives connected. I'll try to reinstall Windows 10 and could also do 7 but I know the problem will go away as I had this problem before and a reinstall fixed it but not sure what update or change caused it to happen like before.

    Not sure what the issue was here but I just downloaded Rainbow Six Siege which was 82GB and it downloaded no problem in about an hour and a half. Also transferring a bluray rip to my fileserver that was 18Gb went with no problems either. No changes were made.

    Maybe take a look at your switch/router the system is plugged into? Could be overheating or leaking power during high use onto the line and borking your NIC.
