It constantly reboot without even throwing blue screen. Im not so sure if it is just my device, but be sure this version might have this issue

BIOS Update v1.07

• Update CPU microcode for Intel security
• Improve thermal performance

This BIOS is intended to update the CPU microcode to increase security related to the reported Spectre vulnerability for processors used on EVGA SC17 laptops. This microcode update is expected to be used in conjunction with related patches from your Operating System or VMM to ensure complete protection from reported vulnerabilities.

 
Im interested to see what 'thermal performance' updates they've made, but i think ill wait a while.

lol, imo pxm has always been "broken" half the functions don't work properly. 

When I first flashed to 1.07 it half worked. The default profile was bugged and tried to run  with a negative voltage offset and an OC, so it would BSOD on some boots. Couldnt adjust the sliders, but the custom profiles worked. Then after reinstalling PXM it doesnt even start. 

I personally had to flash back to 1.06 because the mobil tuning utility could not read bios preset clock profiles correctly and was showing clocks at - numbers and tens of thousands and causing the laptop to lock up. as soon as I flashed back to 1.06, 1.09 tuning software read the presets from the bios correctly and my problem went away. either the software needs an update after the bios update since it cant read from it correctly or there is a issue with the new firmware. I reformatted and reinstalled windows during this to make sure it wasnt my version of windows causing the issue and in fact it was the update. I even tried re flashing to 1.07 and it happened again so im staying with 1.06 since its stable.

Sorry for the late reply on this, but we think it's a compatibility issue with PrecisionX Mobile.  We're further looking into this and I'll reply when I hear something new.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Sine the EVGA tech team is lookin into it, for your information the SC17 1080 has no issues whatosever, with PXM or otherwise, so that guys know when troubleshoooting.   Unfortruntaley my model, which is  by far thlae best of the EVGA  lineup, unfotunately has been discontinue. Hopefy some is coming, although I found unlikely....the notebok businnes i low margin an takes a lot of work considering RMA costs.
After many EC and Bios tweakes and complicteed EC hacks,  I managed the #1 stop at hw.bot for cinebench 15 for the i7-7820HK @4.9H , renowned ovecclokers forum for posting reults.  That being said, when marketing a laptop for entuatists and overclockeer a like, EC and BIOs should allow an HK (fully unloockable CPU) to achieve it's potential....such as, the  only really limit should be thermals. Period.   If EVGA is worried about tte comon user, happy with his new gaming and how it performs, then maket it as such,  like so many other hghly competitive manufatureres, but certainly nos as anenthuastic machine built for ovelcloclomg, in fact claimin gthe first fontebook built with oveclocking in ming..... built for overclcocking and such.....hummm. Which by the way could be niche, since the traditional gamaing laptops, with everthing lock down is already the norm and very competetive.  Plus, if certain change are made in the BIO1S or in thie particulase hac the ....EC Power limits, simple warning that it will void the warranty will do.  Clevo are the lone langers, and it would be a shame if they are the only suppliers of enthusastis machines, that is if they even constintue in the marker
Judging by the lackluste sales and massive sale, EVGA is having a hard time conpetiting in the extremety dense and competittive maker, ,perhaps a movoe towards extreme market m might help....afterall EVGA is know for high end , best in clast products.
Suire may be you are happy here, but may bougt ayt a a deeply discounted price, and anf that price a machine with this espces is indeed a great buy.

apologies for the delay. I have the sc17 758-41-2633. I booted to bios and flashed backwards to 1.06 from there as windows was too unstable after the update and pxm's incompatibility with the 1.07 bios

msi afterburner and precision x should be dumped, steam has a fps counter that works fine
