I purchased an EVGA 1060 SC 3GB from Amazon on March 18. Amazon did not deliver it till March 30th - they kept saying they were waiting on additional stock from EVGA.
Wondering whether my warranty period starts from the date the order was placed (March 18) or the date the product was delivered (March 30). Also, I am assuming I need to register the card to activate the warranty - is that correct? If so, what information do I need to register the card (e.g. card serial number, receipt? what else?)

Thanks!

It starts from the date on the receipt. If you ordered and paid on the 18th, it will show the 18th.

Make sure to verify your receipt so that it matches what you registeration on the website.

You will need the serial number, date and place of purchase and a PDF version of the invoice to upload. You still get some warranty if you don't register it but why wouldn't you.

Thanks, I also have a 980ti sc that was purchased at end of 2015 as a gift to me. How would warranty on this work? Can I register with the receipt with the purchaser name and get full warranty or do I not get any warranty if the purchaser name on receipt does not match the person registering it and who owns it (I.e. me)?

Also, what happens to warranty if the person who purchased it for me is unable to find receipt?
    Thanks!

The warranty for the EVGA 1060 SC 3GB would start from the date of purchase on the invoice. In this case it would be March 18. The 980ti sc would be second hand and would be covered by our global warranty. The only way to verify what is avlaible for that card is to have it registered and contact support.
