I just use it because I have 1080 Ti FTW3 and need all the fans to be sync, MSI Afterburner can only handle 1 fan.

Would be great to have CPU usage like % usage, Clock, not just temp.

Any news about this CPU support?

No news about this feature yet.

Only issue I'm noticing is Led Sync doesn't detect any of the devices, but Precision and Flow can manually adjust LED colors.

Fresh build for 2018: Rainbow Ice
Z370 FTW MB, i7-8700K, EVGA SLI 1070Ti FTW2, Team nighthawk 32GB.

Can anyone remember the last update that actually works? Thx. I hadn t updated for awhile, and decided to try this 1. Bam. Automatic fan control does not work. Go figure eh?  THIS is why I rarely update. You`d think a tester would catch this.  And this version doesn`t show in my startup either.

Is it just me or did this break LED sync with Flow?  Also this version keeps locking up on Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit.

DeathSentinels
This version broke my temperature sensors for my memory and power, going back to the previous version fixed it.

Same here, by default EVGA Precision XOC 6.2.4 does not monitor the 1080Ti FTW3 Memory & Power temperatures and fan speed, this causes the automatic fan control not to function.

I'd call this a severe bug that needs to be addressed quickly to avoid people needing RMA soon because they didn't notice this, and maybe pull this version from the download section and include a warning message.
Adding the temperature sensors for Power and Memory manually makes the automatic fan control function again as expected.

Screenshot:

So here is the feedback for Precision XOC 6.2.4:

New issues:
  1. EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 Power/Memory sensors not tracked by default in hardware monitor.
This causes automatic fan control not to function and fans will not spin up.
  2. Switching from GUI-skin stops automatic fan control from functioning.
It will work again after opening the settings menu.
  3. Not able to set minimum and maximum values for Hardware monitor in default skin.
This makes "Play alarm sound when value is out of range" useless.
  4. Reported GPU in main Precision XOC window is not white:
  5. Kingpin skin is not updated to include or change the following:
    - Disabling the < > arrows at GPU/Precision Logo location. (unsure if intended to remove or not)

    - OC Scan button is missing on Kingpin skin. (instead accessible via < > buttons)
    - Kingpin skin settings do not contain "OSD" and "Monitoring" tabs. (instead uses old OSD settings menu)
  6. Having a small width window of Hardware monitor open causes overlapping issues with sensor title texts and information:
  7. Hardware monitor buttons GPU1, System and others are not displayed when Precision XOC is minimized OR clicking inside Hardware monitor window while Precision XOC is open.
These buttons are missing in the above picture:

It is expected these remain visible for easy user-interaction at all times independent of any window focus.
  8. Hardware monitor window scrolls back to top when enabling OSD/Keyboard/Tray or removing sensors.
This can be frustrating for end-users having to scroll continuously .

Fixed issues:
  1. Minimizing LED Sync shows a small Windows Classic-themed window bar, if this bar is moved by the cursor and released, and it is attempted to re-open LED Sync, the window loses some of it's GUI elements and nothing inside can be clicked on. (neither it will close unless using taskmanager or disabling it inside Precision XOC)
    More info: https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2729946
  2. Launching Precision XOC while LED Sync is in the taskbar re-opens the LED Sync menu.
  3. Pressing X in LED Sync now minimizes the menu to taskbar instead of closing it, this would be expected for the ' _ ' button. (icons have been changed to only minimize to tray)
  4. The windows start-up task for LED Sync is not removed when the LED Sync window is closed via 'Close' in the right click context menu in taskbar, Precision XOC LED Sync button stays lit, start-up task will be removed after clicking LED Sync button in Precision XOC again.
  5. Disabling OSD in games can cause some games to crash. (Update, see Edit note below this post)
    More info: https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2713037

    - Tested in:
    GTA V
    FlatOut 4
    Life is Strange 1
Life is Strange - Before the Storm
    Carmageddon: Max Damage
    Battlefield 1
    Crysis 1
    DiRT 2
    DiRT 3
    DiRT 4
    DiRT Rally
    DiRT Showdown
    Just Cause 2
    Just Cause 3
    Left 4 Dead 2
    Metro 2033
    Mirror's Edge Catalyst
Need For Speed 4 - High Stakes (Road Challenge)
    Planet Coaster
    Red Faction Guerrilla
    Sniper Elite V2
    Wreckfest

Not yet fixed issues:
  1. Changing screenshot saving location tends to be problematic, causing first screenshot save to fail and no longer work after.
    More info: https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2713037
  2. PNG screenshot capture with Precision XOC shows image corruptions.
    More info: https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2705146
  3. Precision XOC crash when closing hardware monitor after fan speeds are changed.
  4. Breathing mode for backplate LED 1080Ti FTW3. (using Appearance LED)
  5. Pressing F1 on LED Sync window pops-up an error and launches Windows Help.
    More info: https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2727988

There is a list of issues but I'd like to say good job because some issues have been fixed and the new GUI on the default skin looks pretty sexy including the Hardware monitor rework!

Edit:

Even though disabling the OSD does no longer crash games, the games will still crash if Precision XOC is exited while the OSD has been previously hooked into a game.
It will show the following module as the source of the error: PrecisionXServerHooks_x64.dll_unloaded

Wow that was a quick response, thank you.
I think it's good to inform them quickly for atleast the power/memory not being reported automatically, it could have a big impact for users.

Edit:

It seems like FCAT doesn't function with the OSD.
I personally don't really have much experience with this function but I believe it should render a flashy bar at the side of the screen.

Re: EVGA Precision XOC 6.2.4 Available Now 2018/04/07 13:03:36 (permalink)
I experienced the following problems upon installing this version:

EVGA Precision X OC 6.2.4 causes BSOD intermittently:

MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

This would intermittently BSOD the machine up until I could uninstall EVGA Precision X OC 6.2.4 and it stopped giving the BSOD.
No changes to any application were saved upon reboot, this caused me to have to work for over an hour and a half to get a condition where I could set an option in a program, reboot, and have it stay.
This also caused my games to lose track of their install directories and had to repoint them.

I ran Memtest86 to make absolutely certain this was not a ram issue. Ram is good.
Did a chkdsk /f /r /x full and the disk is fine.

Issue recurs as long as EVGA Precision X OC 6.2.4 is installed.

Along with subsequent errors in the Windows Application Log:

Faulting application name: Twitch.exe, version: 7.5.6668.295, time stamp: 0x5ac417cf

Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\CorsairLink4\CorsairLink4.exe

I also experienced other problem, but this may have to do with a recent windows update (KB 4089848):

I can no longer have windows automatically login via: control userpasswords2.
It does not find my profile and logs me in with a different one.

All this came about upon the install of EVGA Precision X OC 6.2.4 and all was resolved with its removal.

I put EVGA Precision X OC 6.2.3 on, and had to get it to run as administrator in the task scheduler to get it to work. It has serious problems remembering anything without admin rights.
6.2.3 Is currently working perfectly, though I had to put back all of my fan curves and all of its options.

There's been a big issue with the Enable Automatic Fan control not working the past few versions. Every time I change from Custom to Aggressive or Quite, it doesn't accept the change and reverts back. There's also an issue with the new splash screen logo staying on screen at boot up for what I feel is too long.

Re: EVGA Precision XOC 6.2.4 Available Now 2018/04/07 13:41:26 (permalink)
There is a task in the Task Scheduler that makes this run that gets put there when you check "Start with Windows" and then click OK at the bottom before closing the popup window. However, if the program wasnt running as admin, at the time, it cannot put the scheduled task in. Check task scheduler:

1. That EVGA Precision X OC is there
2. That it runs with highest privileges.

If you can get those both, you may have better luck getting it to run and remember your settings.

I installed the version before this last 1. Seems to start up at desktop boot now, although slow. And nothing I do allows the  app to be in my task manager start up list. Odd.  I guess lesson learned. Stick with a version you know works. Just cannot see wth I have to do this freaking dance everytime I update. Aaaah well.

Looks like Precision XOC still prevents windows shutdown, unless minimized/closed.

This is very annoying, makes me not want to even open the monitor some days; but its not a new issue!

I really didn't like, how logo appears now at start(and start is very long - about 5-10secs)! Put it back, how it was - when precision loads at backyard, putting icon to tray...really annoying

This is also very obtrusive! I think my entire system (on an Optane pcie boot drive) loads faster than it takes for this obnoxious logo to go away.

Currently testing OSD customization, will revert to previous version unless this function cooperates.

I guess this would be a feature request to add a setting to turn the splash screen on or off. (I'd say opt-out)

I don't mind the splash at all. Though I do wish they would tell us how many GPU's it supports now instead of just "more".

Any idea if there will be a fix for automatic fan control not working properly even after adding mem1 and power1 to the monitoring list? ( 1080ti ftw3 ) This is a serious issue, as once added i thought it was fixed, but then temp for mem1 and pow1 got stuck at 45c while under load and fans were not increasing even though HW info shown temps from these sensors at north of 50c

Thankfully this was caught before actually leaving the pc alone with any kind of heavy workload.

Have since reverted to previous version.

Try enabling all Memory and Power sensors, especially those that normally get the hottest, often placed at the back of the card.
In my personal testing EVGA Precision XOC would prioritise the sensor that gets the hottest for fan control, which I suppose is logical.

Hey there guys. Erm, is there any way to set OSD in default skin on this update? I had to switch to KingPin skin [which I don't like that much], in order to get back to OSD settings. Thank You! :)

OSD settings are now able to be set inside the Settings menu under the "OSD" and "Monitoring" tabs:

The only caveat I found with this is that you are not able to set minimum/maximum values for the alarm setting this way.

Edit:

Odd, I also don't see an option for changing the LCD Keyboard OSD font size in the new OSD settings menu.

Hey there sir CriticalHit_NL. Thank You for Your super faste reply!

Yup, found those, but I wonder about these...

The "select GPU statistics" option is missing :(. It reset my settings OSD-wise, so I had to re-set them again, and I'm only able to do via KingPin skin.

You can find these now in the Hardware monitor window, there have been 'OSD', 'KB LCD' and 'TRAY' buttons added there for each sensor.

Also at the top of the Hardware monitor window these buttons will be shown:

Via here you can open a dropdownmenu with sensors to add or remove.
Currently these buttons only show up if Precision XOC window is open and focused, or resizing the Hardware monitor window while Precision XOC is open.

Thanks but i do not believe this will help when the software is bugging out and getting stuck, it was stuck at 45C even after load was removed for 20mins and card was idling.

Current system specs:
EVGA 1080ti FTW3
Asus Maximus 10 hero /8700k
16gb corsair vengeance lpx 3200
Evga 850 G3 PSU
120gb OS ssd, 256gb game ssd, 2tb hdd.

Guys, sorry if I missed it earlier in the post, but how do you change the OSD Show in tray icon INDIVIDUIAL COLOURS? I see an option that changes all of them together but you were able to change the colours individually in the previous versions... I had different colours for several tray icon monitors that I have memorized for ages.
Anyone found out where to set that?

Try switching to the Kingpin skin and change OSD settings from there as it still uses the old menu.
Don't forget to re-open the settings menu after switching from skin otherwise fan curves don't seem to kick in.

Another hardcore way would be modifying EVGAPrecision.cfg most likely, but that's rather tedious.
