Hi all,

The Vcc LED indicator is solid red. The bios registers all 64GB of ram (4 x 16GB) and there are no other red LED's indicated on the board. How can I trouble shoot this red VCC indicator?

Also, perhaps unrelated, but the heatsink over the Vcore VRM does not fully cover the first phase, not sure if this is an issue at all (check picture for visual)?

Hello and welcome to the forum!

The red VCC should not be turned on unless you didn't successfully POST, but this isn't the case. Have you changed the DIMM Voltage at all in BIOS?

As for the VRM Heatsink, it should cover the first phase, could you provide an image of that? I do not see any images uploaded to this forum post. Maybe trying uploading the image to imgur and sharing the link here.

Attached is a picture of the VRM heatsink as well as one of the red LED.

I'm able to post, enter into BIOS, load installation media. The Vcc (D8) LED remains red from power on throughout the entire process. The G.Skill SPD voltage is rated for 1.2v with a tested voltage of 1.35v . I have tried the auto setting (~1.2v) and adjusting the voltage as well as using the XMP profile (1.35v). The LED remains red in all cases.

That is a choke that isn’t covered, the VRM is covered under the heat sink next to the screw behind the choke.

Added maybe useful chart of LED behaviors found during initial install:
