Ballistix Sport LT 64GB Kit (16GBx4) DDR4 2666 goes for $666 dollars now. Still $200 over, but it is a good start. Corsair dropped prices (on Amazon) as well. Sounds like the sales are falling, forcing manufacturers to unlock the closet where they keep their decency.

but only a few teaspoons full, the 16GB corsair vengence kit i bought in feb 2017 is still 80% higher now than what i paid.

What model did you buy and how much did you pay? I'd like to use it as a market reference.

Vengence 3000mhz red LED 16GB kit. Bought just about a year ago for $110 and it's $199 at Newegg right now.

Yeah, I know. But still, it is an improvement. Prices are going down. People say that they should be back to normal by fall.

G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series F4-3200C14Q-32GTZR
32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600)
CAS 14 - 14-14-14-34   just 2 weeks ago was $350 that I was going to get for my build but NOW it's $542
I know you have to pay to play but damn this is getting out of hand just like the GPU issues and coin farming...
The build I was going to do was the 8700k, Asus max hero x and this ram was only $939 from Newegg now it's $1132
its just nuts

That must be through a third party, not Newegg direct - third party sellers regularly put up 20-80% markups and higher. Just ignore them - I think there's an option to select Newegg only as seller (which is what I do with Amazon) to avoid even seeing stupid prices like that.

That model F4-3200C14Q-32GTZR is available for $454, $457, and $612 on Amazon, all through third party sellers, and I recognize all three sellers as price gougers. Wait until a respected retailer has them in stock and they will sell at the $350 mark that you saw 2 weeks ago.
